August 2013 Brides :)

Hi

we are getting married on 15th August 2013, in Greece. I have picked my dress, bridesmaids dresses so far, don't have huge amounts to do as the wedding planner in greece will do most of it and our package includes pretty much everything. Just got cake and flowers to decide on now.

What date are you getting married? have you managed to find a venue yet?

I'm a late July 2013 bride, but hope you don't mind me joining in! I've booked my venue, registrar, chair covers and sashes, table linen, chosen my MOH, my OH has chosen one of his best men (our son who'll be 12 at the time) and chosen our "colours"

You two sound very organised - I havent done anything but decide the date 10/08/2013 we have decided on. I have got exams next month so looking to book the venue in December - I need some sort of oranisation so I know what will be after that then

Just a quick note to say Summer 2013 will be an extra busy time for us wedding photographer & suppliers as brides avoid the Olympic months next Summer here in the UK. I have heard several couples say that hotels in the south are charging 50% extra for their accomodation which your wedding guest wouldn't appreciate!

So book early for peak date in Summer 2013!

There is also no world cups (rugby or football) and no UEFA European football (rugby world cup - this year, football world cup 2014, UEFA Euro Championships - 2012)

Its one of the first things I thought of as my family are really into their football and I know they wouldn't mind missing a day of sport, but I thought it was a bit "safer" for me lol

I am getting married on 10th August 2013 but other than pay for the deposit on the church i haven't done anything else. I have been looking for a venue to have the reception but we can't find one nice enough within our budget. Its proving stressful. x

Im 3rd August 2013 and we have booked so far - venue, registra, tog, cake, my dress (!) and a colour scheme decided! I couldnt wait to start making decisions!

I was looking at 10th Aug too, but now we have decided on a Monday wedding.

Almost booked our venue but got one more to look at before making the decision

I think I have found my dress, but as its made to measure I'm asking them to make a few changes and basically made a new style! But everyone I have spoken to, said its too early to decide etc... when will one know when they have found the one?

It's also a bit too pricey (but for a custom dress actually not that bad...) - more than what I want to spend on a dress I will only wear once!

Your dress sound nice if you have designed/change dit a bit yourself ? Is it hugely out your price range? I was thinking I am going to try on maybe next summer with a year to go.

we haven't set it yet because the venue hasnt been booked yet.. but its defo in August. Because its on a Monday, I've pretty much any choice!

I have a dilemma of BMs - i want 9, but I think it looks ridiculous as our wedding itself wont be so grand... so far I have confirmed 2x MOHs. Still mulling over the others because I want them to be part of it rather than just ordinary guests.. but not so sure how to go around this without breaking the bank either

Theme - not really but I want a quintessentially English rose wedding in the countryside barn - Vintage rustic romance.

I was going to wait for the dress but I REALLY need the extra time to budget. I figured if I got the prices and if needed, I can cut a few daily things here and there to cover the extra costs here and there.. lol the dress is maybe about 800 more than what I want to spend ideally, which doesnt sound a lot but when you work out the WHOLE budget...it really is an eye opener

Actually colour wise - I know i want champagne but I also want a bold colour as well and I havent figured out anything other than peach/coral...

I havent picked anything as yet! Although I know I want a white wedding dress and BM's in a very pale peach or vintage pink colour. I want the theme to be very pale coloyrs cant really explain but along the vintage line - maybe peach,pale purple and gold. not too sure.

I am thinking 4bm's and 1 page boy (my little boy)

Been looking for somewhere around Stockport as we don't want it too far from the church. It so hard to find a place that is perfect though :-( x

For vintage colours don't forget lemon yellow, sage green, pale orange, lavender etc

We have yet to set a definite date but it will be in August 2013. We are going to look at our (ideal) venue next friday and hopefully book and put down the deposit.

I want a laid-back, summery, romantic-vintagy wedding. Tomorrow me and my BM's are going to a local wedding fair to get ideas.

What colours are good for summer? I really like teal/aqua/lemon/white/coral.

My dress is going to be a grecian style chiffon floaty dress, and I might look at jewelled headbands/pieces instead of a veil.

We are getting married in Sutton Coldfield. The colours we have chosen are fuschia and orange with bits of grey/silver. Without deciding it has turned into a slight garden party theme! Its all very exciting and time is actually going pretty fast!

We have booked the registrar and venue for the 9th August 2013! So far we have chosen our colour scheme and looked at loads of things but we want to keep looking round before booking things to get the best deals! Its great fun though and i am really enjoying all the searching and planning!

We're pretty much all sorted for out wedding 10th August 2013. Bought my dress and bridesmaid dresses, tog booked, church booked, reception venue booked. Going to book cars tomorrow hopefully. Then its just rings and toher small bits and pieces.

I'm getting married on August 4th 2013..not much done yet!

Ceremony venue was booked and deposit paid for yesterday and that's it!

Reception venue will be done in the next few days as thats going to be at our local pub/restaurant, we're very good friends with the owners so I can't see any issues with that.

Emailing a tog at the moment that we met at a wedding fayre last weekend, but not in a position to pay him a deposit till after Christmas so that probably won't get sorted until then

As we are officially at the year mark (eek!), I was just wondering how we are all getting on with the planning x

Hi! I am getting married on the 1st August 2013 at Hargate Hall in Derbyshire. So far we have the venue, tog, florist and DJ booked.

I have also started to make and collect little bits now. Started making bunting, STD cards and wine glass charms. We are having a sort of Alice in Wonderland theme x
