I have 3 powder pink bridesmaid dresses brand new in box 8, 10 & 12 if anyone is still looking for dresses. Beautiful dresses - I've changed my colour scheme which is why I'm selling. Full length chiffon dress. Ideal for any season. £88 each - will do a deal on all 3. These are also advertised on various selling sites so if you'd like to see a picture please email *******@*******.**.** or pm me x
My Church blessing is on 16th August as I'm having 2 ceremonies and yes 2 dresses ?
I'm having mine at St Olafs Church in Wasdale, it is amazing. I've done everything including ordering the cake topper and all I have to do is send out the invites next year and organise the ceremony with the vicar there and my own chaplain who will be (hopefully) conducting the service.
Casino tables booked (the wedding co-ordinator at my venue was rather taken with them and I think may end up booking them for her own wedding lol)
Swing band booked
Flowers confirmed
Headpiece found - hoping to look somewhere else today but pretty much decided!
Dress alterations sorted - this beautiful shop near my University which I never noticed during my 5 years there! I bought my dress from Monsoon and wanted major changes (I'm 3' tall...nothing like a challenge!) Mum and I spent yesterday contacting seamstresses who said they don't remake, only alter and this was the first to come back with a positive response - we popped over yesterday and I got the full fitting experience with the big mirror and came out thrilled to bits! I'm keeping my skirt and bodice but having lace sleeves added and the belt altered so it's lacey rather than sparkly (trying hard not to look like a First Communion dress!)
Will do a proper flash once I'm home and have my own computer back
Eeeeek, picked up my dress yesterday.......can't believe I have it so early, but I love it and can't see me changing my mind although I'm a little worried I will. Does anyone else feel time is flying though. Started planning with 2 and a half years to go and now it's under the one year mark! Where did the time go I thought I had sooooo long to arrange everything.
I'm getting married on 25th August, it's the bank holiday so I keep thinking I should be more organised than I am - I worry a bit about lots of people not working bank holidays.
So far, I have the church and venue sorted, and the catering and DJ are organised at the venue. I have booked the car, the photographer and cake. I have chosen my dress, but will be measured at the beginning of November. STDs went out a couple of weeks ago, but invitations are still to be chosen. I have chosen a basque to wear under the dress, but am hoping to lose weight so may need to retry it closer to the time - I have a big bust so struggle finding strapless bras that are comfortable.
RLB - What colour scheme have you gone for? As I have 3 brand new bridesmaid dresses for sale. Size 8, 10 & 12. £88 each. They are in a powder pink colour, chiffon material, floor length. Still in original box and packaging. The dresses are lovely but we have changed colour scheme. Let me know what you think thanks x
We have a purple colour theme - it matches my amethyst engagement ring as well as being my favourite colour, so pink won't fit in. Sorry

Hiya ?
Its been a few weeks so I just wanted to find out how everyone is getting on? I'm going dress shopping this Saturday (I'm so excited!) so I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that I find THE dress!
So far we've booked the registrar (waiting to give notice), booked the venue (food included but need to choose menu), hired a band, booked the TOG, booked florist, booked hair and makeup, sorted out my dress and shoes, booked suits but not finalised and bought the bridesmaid dresses. I've also made and sent Save the Date cards and have all the stuff for the invites. I'm collecting jars for the centrepieces.
I'm not usually this organised but one if my BMs has moved abroad and I wanted to sort out BM dresses before she went. I'm also a teacher so I tried to get a handle on everything over summer.
Me and H2B are getting married on the 2nd August 2014, eeeeep so excited! We've done pretty well with planning so far:
Wedding dress bought
Venue will be paid off by end of this month
Registrar booked and notice booked
Honeymoon booked
Deposit given on the rings
Photographer booked
Sweet cart booked
All that's left to sort now is car hire, bridesmaid dresses, suits, flowers and the details such as favours, invitations etc A family friend is making the cake for us and then just paying everything off before the big day ?
Bring on Wedding season 2014! Good luck with planning and prep girls

I'm also feeling nervous. I've been to shops before but now that I have more of an idea of what I'm looking for I think I'm hoping that this will be the time when I find the dress for me (or at least narrow it down to 2 possibilities)! Good luck and have fun tomorrow Curley! The perfect dress is out there ?
I've had a bad cold this week which has put a bit of a stopper on things but I seem to be on the mend - just need my voice back now!
My save the dates arrived and I've put most of them in envelopes so now just need to go to the post office and spend the most money I have ever spent on stamps!
Bridesmaids will be here weekend after next for dress shopping - we are going to do high street on Sunday and then bridal shop trying on on the Monday. I want a forest green colour which I haven't seen on any websites bar Dessy so we're just going to get measurements and see what the spring collections bring.
Mum forwarded me a link to I Do Liciious which is sort of like a bridal Groupon and I've suddenly become very attached to the idea of having a harpist for the hymns! We will have around 80 guests - do you think this will be loud enough? Our ceremony room is below
I wish I hadn't just read through all your posts. I only booked my venue today for the 15th August, I thought 10 months was more than enough time but now I'm worried seeing how much you've all done!x
Don't worry, we all seem to be doing different bits at different times.
Dress seeking ladies, how did it go? I am shopping with my bridesmaids this weekend - we have 2 bridal shop appointments on the Monday and are doing high street on Sunday. I was tearing my hair out as I couldn't find anything in green on any high street websites, but then a lovely hitcher pointed me to https://www.coastfashion.com/womens/dresses/maxi-dresses - we will be hitting Coast this weekend!

You'll have a great time! Do you know what style of dress you're after? I really enjoyed shopping this weekend! The first shop gave us champagne and chocolates (I thought they only did that in films!). After visiting 3 shops I'm now trying to decide between 2 dresses although I'm leaning towards one more than the other! I've been looking at bridesmaids dresses online but I haven't seen anything I like within my budget yet. I think that Coast dress is beautiful! I'm sure it'll look just as gorgeous when you see it!
Oh I have mine - found it 3 days after the proposal in Monsoon and is now in a seamstress's workshop having sleeves put on! This trip is just for the bridesmaid dresses. Dessy do a 'hunter green' colour which fits my theme perfectly, but I think high street would be more affordable, especially come the January sales!
Sailing - the green is to tie in with my family tartan. The sailing theme is more for my reception - our lovely local charity shop helped me source these for table centres, and I have a few more typical wooden models as well
