August 2015 brides

I have just seen the 2015 brides what have you bought/booked this far thread and am now beginning to panicky ever so slightly at how organized everyone is.

We are meant to be getting married in August 2015 and all that's done is the deposit for my dress.
we did have a venue lined up but they decided they can't do it anymore and have only looked at 1 other venue since. I have also tried calling the registrar people to see what I need to do but they aren't open weekends and haven't had a chance to ring them during week yet.

Is there any other august 15 brides not done a venue yet? Or any other big things?

    I am 15/08/15. So far have booked and paid deposits on church, reception venue, photographer and car. Started buying bits for centrepieces and am making STDs and invites.

    Did have my dress but decided I need to get a different one now as it doesn't suit me lol

    Well we went to look at a venue today and debating on 15th August 2015. Need to speak to the parents and see if they agree and if so full steam ahead, I do wonder am I leaving myself enough time. But I have known people plan in 10 weeks and some in 2.5years..

    Have you booked your registrar? I booked ours 1year ahead (to the day!) and they only has 10.30 or 4pm left.....

    We haven't booked the registrar yet... We are going to see the Vicar on Saturday and if he says yes.

    I'm getting married 27th August 2015. Have done venue, registrar, wedding singer, DJ, photographer, videographer, cake, venue stylists (including centre pieces), my dress, veil, shoes, bridesmaid dresses, flowers, accommodation the night before, honeymoon, invitations......I have been so organised! Only things left to do are rings, mens suits, bridal party gifts & stationary for the day (Name places, table plans etc).

    I would say get a move on! Lol. When I booked the registrar a year in advance they only had 11am or 4pm left! I booked videographer in march and got his last free date in August. Things gets booked up pretty quickly. Don't stress or panic though, you'll be fine =)

    Well today we went to see the vicar and he said yes he would marry us.. so 15th August 2015 it is... wow I need to get a move on (mrCtoB you are putting me to shame!)

    So I have

    Booked the venue

    Booked the disco

    obviously booked the church

    Emailed a couple of photographers and one has emailed back saying they are free that day.

    When would you send invites out for day do and evening celebrations?

    Hi, I have just spotted this thread. I am getting married on 22/08/2015 and was feeling quite chilled until I suddenly realised now that it is just over 8 months away!!!! I am worrying that' there is something I am forgetting.... Is anyone else getting that feeling. Also how far in advance is everyone having hair trials done and are you having make up trials as well?

    It suddenly seems to be getting really close. I'm not as organised as most people on here even though we've had 18 months to plan! Hair, makeup and flowers are the next big things to sort but I'm struggling with them so keep putting it off!

    All I have left is decorations, sending out invites, my shoes, order bridesmaid dresses and paying the deposit on our honeymoon Smiley smile

    I was going to send ours in Feb but that's mainly because everyone keeps asking us when they can book their accommodation. When's everyone's oh sorting out suits? Mine wants to wait until April to try and lose some weight first.

    invites - currently being made so probs February to send out.

    Suits - going this weekend with OH and his mum and dad to choose and then put the order in for everyone else to go and get fitted.

    Ours will be going out beginning of feb I think, I put RSVP 30th march, but it actually want them back a bit sooner as if I send out to the b list the date still says 30th march as that was how I got them printed. We are only having a small do (30 day guests) so I don't envisage lots of problems chasing up and realistically only expect 2people to decline.

    I'm 03/08/15 - Monday wedding is a bit odd I know but seriously cheaper than the weekend!

    I'm panicking about suit hire; OH is getting fed up with me nagging him to sort it...bridesmaid dresses and my dresses were done in July.

    Don't have shoes, veil, flowers, favours or presents (There's 7 bridesmaids, 2 best men, 4 parents, a cake-making auntie and lovely friend who's doing make up... worried I'll leave those a bit too late!)

    Invites hopefully going out Feb with May RSVP. I did send save the dates though so those who need to book accommodation will hopefully have that sorted soon

    Ours cost the same regardless of day-originally discussed a Sunday but then they told me they had a golf tournament on, so I asked how much extra a Saturday would be and was told every day is the same price!

    hardly anyone actually seems to marry on a Saturday now! Midweek or Sunday doesn't bother me at all, I've been to more non Saturdays!

    We are back on th invites now. Planning to send them out at the start of March? How long is everyone giving for people to RSVP? We were thinking 6 weeks so it takes it through to the end of April/ start of May time. We are limited on numbers, so there are people that we would like to invite if we are able to do a second round of invitations. What are everyone's thoughts? Xx

    Wow some of you guys are putting me to shame !!! lol

    I'm getting married on 2nd August it's a sunday and only have venue, registrar, sweet buffet, cars and photographer sorted going dress shopping this weekend hoping to find something.

    Can anyone reccommed a company for invites ?

    Hello Ladies!

    1st August bride here - still can't quite believe it's just over 6 months until I get married! Eek!

    I am quite organsied, so we have got quite a lot sorted. We have; venue, caterer, photographer, registrar (meeting to give notice in a couple of weeks,) band, DJ, make-up artist, cake, hairdresser and wedding dress all sorted. We've got a meeting with the caterer at the beginning of February to discuss the wedding breakfast and a meeting at the end of the month to discuss decoration with the coordinater.

    Things I still have to sort; shoes, vei, tiara, jewellery, table centres, electric candles, sweet table, evening invitations, rings, gifts, underwear, bay trees and loads iof other little bits.

    We are most of the way through invitations. My mum and BM's are quite arty so tehy helped me make those and I ahve a friend who is amazing at calligraphy, who is writing them for me. These will go out mid-February as we have a lot of people travelling and I'd like them to have the details asap. We've put an RSVP day of May so that we can bump evening guests if some can't come adn also because I'll start to worry and panic if I leave it until much later!

    If you are on Facebook I contacted a company called "DIY wedding invitations" by private message and explained to them my colour scheme and what sort of thing I was looking for. They then put out a status update to the people they supply saying what I was looking for and asking if anyone could help. Around 40 people replied and I PM'd the ones who sounded good and have gone with one of them. Xx
