Wear crappy not your best knickers, wax doesnt come out to easy. Used to drive me demented when people would wear nice pants and then get upset if they got sticky.

If the length is too long the lady will just trim it herself before she gets started Mini. At least that's what my lady does if I haven't been for a while. I always take my knickers completely off for any waxing to avoid the problem Cookiekat described.

I'm not sure I can hadle that... I've had had all sorts of Drs and consultants taking a look at my chuff, am a medical students dream, yet when it comes to waxing am petrified!

Honestly, you probably won't even notice her doing the trimming. If you're really worried just trim it down to 1/2inch maybe before you go, that should be enough left for waxing to be effective but Cookiekat might be able to give you a better idea. I have NEVER gone in and had the lady say "woah, I can't do anything for you hairy Mary." Even when I hadn't been for 5 years ?

You would rather too long than too short, if it's too short it hurts! Trust me...I turned up last time after about 2 weeks worth of growth and she told me it would hurt more than normal cos it was so short (I felt like a yeti!) and it did..give it a good 3 weeks at least...

My lady doesnt make me strip. she does everyhting with my knickers on (and i have a hollywood sometimes!). she told me that she doesnt need to see anything and therapists who make you take your pants off are just lazy.

The hairy Mary comment made me ? I decided to get the whole hog last year and go for a brazillian. It was bloody horrendous. I have very thick hair and she couldn't even get it all because it was too hard to pull out. I had red bumps for about a week and a half, then the hair grew back ? Most pointless thing ever, I didn't let OH go near me with the lights on, let alone strut around with a nice smooth beaver. It looked like I had chicken pox!

I have never had anything waxed. Now that I can no longer see my foof I am seriously contemplating it, but I am a serious wimp. Also Mini, like you I've had various doctors having a mooch up there over the last few years but the thought of going to a salon and getting half nakey just fills me wih dread.

wear a maxi dress, then all you needa do it pull it up, its not as bad as you think and you dont take your pantaloons off!! you just hold them to the side for the lady!

Is it worse than a tattoo? Stubbing your toe? (those are the most painful things I have ever experienced, I think I will have a shock in December!)

whahahah!! no, doing it yourself youl be softer on yourself as youl be expecting pain!! Ive not had my foof waxed since being upduffed yet (have it booked for end of august) but have had legs done..and honestly i didnt notice any difference!!

What's the going rate for this particular form of torture? Do they charge more if you resemble a gorilla?

Rod I think thats a little unfair. I prefer to take my knickers off so it's easier to rach inbetween the lips and up your bum crack. Rather than pulling knickers in and out of areas.

HT I pay £15 for a Hollywood which is all off but go to a private beautician not a salon. London salons charge between £45-75

A Brazilian is £15 in the place I go to in Tooting! Eyebrow threading is £3. Cheap as chips. I haven't bothered since getting preggers though ?

Just seemed cheap if you work out the surface area of a leg and compare it to a chuff. Maybe they charge extra for a bikini to compensate for some of the horrors they must encounter?!

Her words not mine, shes the one who does it. I personally prefer not having to take them off so it works for me!
