Hi, we have two 6-9 month babies at the wedding (actually one may be just over a year by then) but I'd love to get them a wee present on the highchair for when the speeches are being done to keep them amused and also because I don't think the parents would appreciate us giving them a gin favour ;-)
As I don't have kids I have ZERO clue as to what's a good idea. I was originally thinking just a rattle but Yes, I didnt think that one through! Now I'm wondering about a teddy, you know the ones with tacticle parts/mirrors on them...or maybe that's too young? Other than that I'm stuck...a book is no good as someone would need to read them it/amuse them which obviously can't be done during the speech.
Also, for the reception do you think it's a good idea to nip to a charity shop and get a few toys? I'm pretty certain the parents will do this but I've been at a few where the parents haven't and the kids have been bored, specially at that age when they can't run round the dancefloor.
