Well I got married on 4th September and after not posting a report yesterday I thought I'd do it today whilst hubby plays with his wedding present (PS3!).
3rd September: I had the day off work which was a nice excuse to get pampered so after kicking H2B out to the bestmans when my mum came over in th afternoon we went to the nail salon with my then MIL2B and one of our witnesses (who is one of our best friends, mummy to our godson and wife of the best man), and we spent the afternoon having our nails done whilst trying to occupy our the baby (12 months) without smudging our nails! Harder than it seems I assure you! Came home and hung out my dress to get some small creases out.
One of my very best friends (who had organised my hen do) came over in the evening too and we all had dinner together (with champagne of course). Tried to get to sleep early as I knew I'd be away really early but failed miserably and ended up falling asleep at 2am!
4th September: Woke up at 6am despite my best efforts to stay in bed! Could hear my mum awake too so got up and had breakfast before jumping in the shower. Whilst in the shower was deeply upset to look in the mirror and notice that during the night I had been bitten by something during the night (had slept with the window open) and had two HUGE red bites on my right arm....not helpful when you have strapless gown to wear! I tried to cover them up but concealer was too light and foundation too dark so in the end had to just put up with it and planned to always stand to the left of someone so people couldn't see or failing that have the photographer photoshop them out later lol Spent the rest of the morning being really chilled out - played Harry Potter on the XBox until about 11.30am when my dad turned up with the flowers.
Left for the hairdressers about 12.15pm and was due to be home by 1.30pm going by my meticulously set out schedule! However once I got there it all fell to pieces abit. We decided (after 4 hair trials) that we'd go for something simple but because my hair had just been washed (can't leave it over night as goes greasy dead quickly) alot of the things we tried didn't stay in so cue a massive panic in the hair dressers as we were out of ideas....so at 1.50pm, 20 mins after we were supposed to have left there we settled on just pinning back the front middle bit and putting in some sparkly crystals my friend had lent me. I was getting abit stressed by this point as when my mum phoned my dad to say we were running late he said the photographer was already there! Fortunately she set about snapping other bits and pieces whilst she waited for us to arrive. The hairdresser put the veil in at my request but when I got home I decided I hated it so my mum had to try and pull it out along with the 100 kirby grips it felt like he'd put in to keep it steady without distrupting the rest of my hair lol
excuse the stray clip on the left at the bottom, it was supposed to be with the others and fell down as the photo was being taken lol! We finally got back to mine at 2pm leaving me only 45 mins before the photographer had to leave in order to get to ceremony venue to photograph the boys and an hour before my mum left, to get my make up done and get my dress all sorted. Rushed my makeup (was doing it myself) and had to remove it and do it again lol. Finally got into my dress at about 2.40pm and put on the gorgeous bracelet which was a pressie from H2B. Tog finished the photos and then left along with my mum so was just me and my dad waiting for the car. Car arrived at 3pm as planned but it was a family friends driving it! He had arranged for a friend of his to dry me but he was poorly so his mate had put him on the insurance to drive me which was a lovely touch.

Speeches came and the bestman did a fab job...;.had put together a poem and loads of embarassing photos of hubby as kid which went down a treat and everyone found hilarious! The kids loved their gift bags that I'd done too which kept them quiet! My dads speech was short and sweet fortunately but his gift to us was a pair of baby socks (his hope I think that we'll have kids sometime soon lol!) and a gorgeous antique ring of my mums which had belonged to my great grandmother which she had got on her wedding day. I got everyone to sing happy birthday to my nan too as she was 75 while we were on our honeymoon After the speeches we cut the cake which was amazing and made by a fab family friend of ours who promised me a wedding cake since I was 12 lol The rings on the top are actually off my parents 25th anniversary cake.
Everyone ate from the buffet after and the food seemed to go down well - there was nothing left so I figured that was a good sign! First dance was to Don't Want to Miss a Thing by aerosmith and most people stayed right till the end at about 1am which is brilliant. Our slightly odd organisation of no sit down dinner and straight into the speeches on arrival at the receptio followed by a buffett and then the disco seemed to go down pretty well. My MIL had bought lots of glow sticks and there are some great shots of people wearing them on their heads, round their arms etc when its dark later which is great! Hubby and I were then driven home to ours along with our gifts where we stayed until we went on honeymoon the next day
All in all a fab experience although one I'd not like to repeat as I've had my fill of wedding planning now lol But here are some final shots for those of you who got this far lol! If you click on any of the photos they come up bigger if you can't seem them properly!
