    Hi Lucie,

Oh no thats not good! Well im not from the same area as you but our friends are getting married next year in May in a Marriott in Hertfordshire and they are really happy with there venue. So maybe you should arrange some viewings to go see some in your area.

    Good Luck!

Sorry to hear that didn't work out. Still at least you've still got plenty of time to search. I'm from Norwich but don't know many venues outside Norwich. We looked at quite a few venues in Norwich but most of the ones we really liked (except the 1 we've booked) didn't have any accomodation & a lot of the golf clubs were more golf clubs with weddings on the side (I didn't fancy getting married with golfers wandering through!!). So a marriot wedding sounds like a great idea.

Hope the search goes well & welcome to hitched

Didn't someone have one on four weddings? I haven't been to a wedding there but would expect it to be good. I have stayed in lots of Marriotts in the US and they were excellent.

The three Marriott Hotels near me in Herts are fine.(Cheshunt, Waltham Abbey and Hanbury Manor)

The latter offers more choices and locations although all are good.

I'm afraid not but Marriott are a safe option, although on the negative side they do often have more than 1 wedding on at the same time...

    Hi Lucie

I know someone who got married at the Marriott in Norwich - it's a lovely venue but as someone else said they do often have more than one wedding on the same day. You say you're looking on the Norfolk/Cambs border - how far away are you looking to go?

I'm looking at venues in Norfolk, Suffolk area but also considered Cambs and have info from a few venues around cambridge.

    Hi Lucie,

I'm not sure if Cambridge is an option for you, but that's where I'm getting married and there are a lot of nice venues there (have a look on google, there's quite a list).

That does depend on the individual Marriott. Some aren't big enough to have more than one at a time. It is though an important thing to consider as some couples do like exclusivity.

My mum got married at Barnham Broom in Norwich (which is a de vere hotel) & there was another wedding on at the same time & I don't think it really made much difference as theirs was obviously at a different time & we didn't clash with photos at all.

Although my partner & I have found somewhere thats exclusive but it wasn't a priority to us.
