Bad luck and not happy

jen-lou, 30 June, 2014 at 19:52 Posted on Planning 0 16

Yesterday I dropped my phone and cracked the screen, it's not bad, you can't really notice it.

Today I noticed a diamond missing out of my engagement ring, it's only 8 months old, so devastated, I can't find it anywhere, so back the shop we go tomorrow on dinner (i can see me getting emotional there)

They say it comes in 3s, what's next? ?

Thanks, sounds a good idea think i might do that ?

My oh is talking it all remarkably well I thought he'd flip out that it happened. I even take it off when I was the dishes and stuff like that. They better sort it or I may have to camp out in the shop! Lol

    Aww I feel your pain!

My best friend was wearing heels fe fore we left for wine out a month ago, my phone was in my bag and she stood on it smashing the back screen, Iv simply brought a floppy case for it.

Then about a week later was bleachingy kitchen, put my ER on the widow seal next to our really thick and heavy back door, had dishes drying so when I whipped the window seal I couldn't really see. Shut the back door after the dog came in then went to put my ring back on, couldn't find it to only go and open the door and there it was, flat as a pancake. I was deverstated and so weary to tell my OH who thankfully understood and said he'd be more upset if it was my wedding ring!

Im still waiting fort 3rd thing... My dress is in the middle of being altered, hope to god that goes well!

i hope the shop fixes your ring for you.

Ahhh no, thats rubbish! I just think my nan used to bake and knead dough while wearing her engagment ring and nevrr had a problem with it. I should be able to go about my daily life without worrying about it

(Sorry for any typos, using a new tablet and trying to get used to it, lol)

To be honest I think the women on my side of the family are cursed! My nan lost her engagement ring while sifting the old coal out of their fire, even went through all the ash and couldn't find it, my mum lost hers while being on holiday and I crushed mine Smiley sad

Its just so heartbreaking when something you treasure gets damaged.

Don't tempt fate for a third JL !!!

My husband's wedding ring has come off twice in the last 24 hours whilst doing mundane things. Once it landed very near the drain in the garden. He's now getting quotes for resizing (stupid boy couldn't have noticed this when we bought it, eh?). In the meantime I've ordered him a crappy £5 ring off eBay as he's about to head to a festival, and I'm not having him lose his wedding ring in the mud. But I want him to be wearing a ring since we've only been married a month ☹️

Actually that's a thought, re warranties...

A friend of ours said she had the side-accent stones replaced 4 times or more, because the claws kept breaking off and the stones would disappear. The jeweler kept replacing them under warranty until they just bit the bullet and accepted a new ring because they were getting so upset with the whole thing happening over and over again.

That's the thing it is one of the side stones, and I can't find anything about warranties, but usually on other things it's a year. We are going on our dinner today, but I've already taken it off to bed and feel a little bare without it, will keep you all posted. Thanks for listening guys

Don't worry. More you will think about bad luck, more it will come. Positive attract positive and other way.

You will sort out that all, it just cant be other way Smiley winking

Just thought id update you all, we took the ring back after work today, got to admit I was ready to argue with them, but I let my oh talk and he just said hed bought it back in october and one of the stones has fallen out, I gave it to the girl to look at and off she went. A few mins passed and she came back and said as a goodwill gesture theyll exchange it for a new one, all good, I just have to wait until Thursday for it to come in, but weve also got the 5 year insurance on the new ring. Still dont know what caused it but at least ill be getting a new one
