This is what we work on;

6inch= 6oz flour, 6 oz sugar, 6oz butter, 3 eggs
8 inch= 8oz flour, 8oz sugar, 8oz butter, 4 eggs
10 inch= 10 oz flour, 10 oz sugar, 10 oz butter, 5 eggs.

And so on! Will dig out portion/quatity they serve - hang on!

Have added the portions per cake above. Let me know if you need to know any other sizes. Oh - and I based these on round cakes. Hope that helps!

Cheers Twickers, just what I was after (Im doing round cakes) you dont happen to have 12 inch as well and I know its cheeky but any approximate cooking times? ?

A 12 inch would be 12 inch= 12 oz flour, 12 oz sugar, 12 oz butter, 6 eggs = 40 servings.

Just off to check the cooking times for you!

Ok so - this is just a guide!

6inch = 20-25 mins

8inch = 25-30 mins

10 inch = 40 -45 mins

12 inch = 50-55 mins
