band bailed

Elixia, 8 October, 2013 at 11:23 Posted on Planning 0 14

The band I'd booked for the wedding have split over differences. The awful thing is they were cutting me a deal since they knew my mum for £450.

hmmmm, so I'm back at the drawing board. Fortunately the venue comes with a DJ so I'm not entertainment-less, but I know OH would prefer a band ... so if any of you lovely girls have any suggestions for the north west cheshire area i would love to hear them!

Have you had a look on Warble Entertainment? We used them and had Captain Caveman. They were a little more than £450 but worth every single penny! The website is definitely worth a look as they have loads of bands to suit all styles and budgets.

Don't forget the teasing ten seconds of Enter Sandman, which they refused to continue, despite my pleading Smiley smile

Have you found someone yet? We've seen a BRILLIANT band called 'the LOL band' - www.theLOLband.com is their site I think. They played at a friend of mines wedding a month or so ago and they really were one of the best bands I'd ever seen - so much fun, and they played great music - me and my H2B had a great time on the dance floor! We had actually already booked a band run by the same company called MIB who I've also seen before and are just stunning. Either are well worth checking out - MIB are a larger band and more like £2k+ though and worth every penny, but the LOL band are a smaller band and much cheaper and really do have the same energy/enthusiasm/gusto!!! Its quite nice that the company that runs them is not an agency, its run by the musicians themselves so I understand, but they are still really organised like you'd expect from an agency - so you kinda get the best of both worlds - you're dealing with the people who really know their craft but they are definitely a lot more business-like than a few of the other bands we tried directly.

We'd definitely recommend them anyway! ?

The band we had were great! THE SPECTRUM!

You can find them on Hitched (west mids) or www.thespectrum.org.uk

I think they are also on warble and alive network but you'll get them cheaper direct I think.

They are just brill live and really made our day.

Good luck and say hi to them from Sarah!!!!

    Hi,

I have to agree with Sarah. We booked The Spectrum and had a great discount from them when they had a Hitched special offer.

You could ask them for one anyway! ?

They were great at our wedding and really 'got' what we wanted and they are a fun bunch of guys.

    Good luck!

    x
