Bank holidays 2012

We were talking about possible dates for our wedding and remembered that the venue lady said that there were 2 bank holidays in May so it might affect when we choose. So I thought I'd look up when they were and lo and behold the bank holiday in May is 7th and there are no other holidays because the other one's been moved to 4th June and there's an extra "diamond jubilee" holiday on Tues 5th June

Am I the only person who didnt realise this?!

I found this out the other day on another thread.

Bit annoying as had been telling everyone that I was getting married on a bank holiday weekend (26th May 2012) and now i have to tell them it's not. Otherwise it doesn't bother us (thankfully)

Hurrah! Bring in extra bank holidays. My wedding anniversary is the late May one. Did you know that we have had super sunny weather that week for the past three years?

We picked our date for the 27 May because it was a bank holiday - then it changed once we paid our deposit! just our luck! oh well people will just have to take a day off work afterall by the looks of things

On the plus side though - its one less day annual leave i need to take for our honeymoon. x
