B&B/Hotel recs in New forest

essexmum, 5 May, 2009 at 12:19 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

Can anyone recommend a hotel or B&B in the New Forest. It's for our wedding anniversary so I would like it to be nice and twee romantic. We only need it for one night (Sat 16th May), as I seem to be coming across minimum 2 night stays at some of the larger/nicer places. No more than £200 for the night, with a nice pub nearby for evening meal My OH has a MTB race at Crow Hill Ringwood so around that area is ideal athough I would go to Mudeford or Christchurch.

Thanks in advance

    I got married here: https://www.newforesthotels.co.uk/BeaulieuHotel.asp

Its a lovely hotel, good food, cosy, romantic it even has a small swmming pool and there is a pub literally next door.

I've been looking at New Forest hotels a lot lately as my sister and her family have just moved there. There are quite a few options on this site

ETA - Its probably worth phoning the hotel directly if it says min 2 nights, they may be flexible, especially as its less than 2 weeks away

If you can stretch the budget then definately go here

If you would consider just outside of the forest and wanted something more secluded i'd go for here

I just came back from Westover Hall hotel which is in Milford on Sea, not sure if it's too far for you. It was a very lovely stay, we stayed in their cheapest room which is just over 200 per night but it was fine. For more money you'll get seaview in your room.

Here is utterly fabulous - http://hotelterravina.co.uk/

It's about 5 mins drive off of the A31 which leads into Ringwood. So probably 30 minutes to Ringwood max. The restaurant is totally wonderful, I'm sure it will get a Michelin star within the next year or two.

Cleocatra - that must have been really nice! When I was there I was thinking that it must have been really good to get wed there.
