BBQ menu

navychick, 31 March, 2011 at 16:32 Posted on Planning 0 6

We're paying £15 p/p for the following:-

Lincolnshire sausage
Home-made Lincoln red beef burgers
Cajun / Garlic & Herb marinated chicken breasts

Baked potato wedges with sour cream and chives
Hand cut coleslaw
fresh bread rolls
Stuffed and baked peppers

Garden salad
Pasta with roast tomato and basil pesto pin nuts and olives
Baby leaves, confit tomatoes, feta cheese, red onion and griddled courgette

Chocolate and rum fudge cake.

Ideally, we would have liked a fish choice also, tuna steak, or king prawn kebabs, but our budget just wouldn't stretch.

Mind, don't think it's too bad for the price, so pretty happy with that. We were told that should they run short of food as we're getting to the last few tables then they'll just cook up some more.

Is anyone else having a BBQ? what sort of menu are you having?

    Yum yum yum yum yum.

Sounds great- we are having a sit down not a bbq, but I went to an evening buffet bbq recently and they had burgers and sasuages and some salads and it was really popular. I think your guests will be really pleased with the choice!

You've got a good price. I tried to negotiate or at least get them to add something else, but they wouldn't budge! Never mind, still happy with it all and looking forward to the big day!

Ours is a little more expensive than yours at £33/head (annoyingly!) but this is our venue's barbecue option served as the wedding breakfast. We may need to modify this slightly as we aren't having cake till the evening so might ask them to knock the coffee off and reduce the price accordingly - even if it's only a pound that's still £50 we can spend on something more useful.

Please choose four dishes from this selection
    HONEY GLAZED LAMB LEG STEAK
    GROUND STEAK BURGER
    with tomato relish
    MARINATED SALMON
    lemon, dill and olive oil
    BUTTERED CORN ON THE COB
    BBQ MACKEREL
    with roasted spices
    CAJUN SPICED CHICKEN
ALMOND, BLUE CHEESE & VEGETABLE BEIGNET
    All barbecues accompanied by:
5 Compound Salads, Jacket Potatoes, New Potatoes
Bread Display and a Selection of Dressings and Chutneys

    Dessert Selection
Please choose two desserts from this selection
    BLACK CHERRY & CHOCOLATE TORTEN
    scented with kirsch
    CARAMELISED LEMON & ORANGE TART
FRESH RASPBERRY & STRAWBERRY MILLE FEUILLE
    APPLE STRUDEL
    with fresh egg custard
    CITRUS FRUIT CHEESECAKE
wrapped in an almond jaconde sponge with lightly whipped cream
    SOFT FRUIT PAVLOVA
with chantilly cream and raspberry coulis

    FRESHLY GROUND COFFEE
    served with your Wedding Cake
