My skin sounds like yours! I have terribly dry skin but am really really spotty at the moment- not fair!

I'm trying to make sure I cleanse, tone and moisturise before bedtime (even when drunk!) also using a face mask twice a week and making sure I eat well and drinks lots of water. X

Hi, I haven't got much to add but I've been wondering about this too. I'm thinking of giving Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish a go as i've heard so many things about it.

I changed my skincare regime recently to things I received from Christmas and I've ended up with a very oily fod, really bad pores on my nose especially, a spotty chin, and a reeeeally dry nose?! Attractive ?

Would love some product tips from here, I'm really conscious that products recommended in magazines are only there because the companies pay/bribe their way in, so its not reliable at all! Can't beat a personal recommendation ?

Sadly I was the worst B2B ever. I slept in my make up most nights, lived on carbs and wine and never moisturized. Its a wonder I got married at all.

You're probably one of those lucky people who can eat crap and still look radiant!

I look rank if I've been overdoing the wine too much.

I am a firm believer you get what you pay for in terms if skin care and make up, that said the only thing that keeps my skin remotely manageable is sudacrem. I use it every night as a face moisturiser and if I have a bad break out I put it over before putting my make up on top.

Hi, I use the Clinique 3 step skincare, have used it for a few years now and it's made such a difference! Also (finally!) started using eye cream - thought the wedding was a good reason to start! Eating healthily and trying to drink 2ltrs of water daily xx

I use clarins products, been excellent for me. In evening I use the face wash, then I use the comfort one step cleanser and toner. Then I use hydra quench night cream. In morning I use the hydra quench spf15 cream under my bare minerals make up. Radiant pretty blemish free skin (most of the time) I have combination bordering on oily skin. I also use the clarins gentle refiner scrub twice a week. Having written this it makes my routine sound time consuming - trust me I'm a really hectic busy person, it doesn't take long at all Smiley smile

My friend has oily skin - uses Clinique and her skin looks amazing now.

plus drink water - 1 litre a day and have a pretty good diet, not too much dairy.

    Hey ,

I would always recommend brides to have a course ( 6 Sessions for average skins) of Microdermabrasion aka MDA ( Preferably Crystal Clear ) there nothing better to even out skin tone and correct imperfections even combinations skins which your sounds like , its also will brighten , illuminate and also smooth fines lines and pigmentation so the results will be fantastic

I would also recommend using Dermalogica skin care for you daily routine , you wont need to exfoliate due to the MDA , but cleanse , tone and moisturise daily will imorove the effects of the MDA and your general skin health ( go to a salon for you free skin map and they will advise the products most suited to you ) I would recommend trying a skin kit they are about 25 pounds and contain a 6 week supply of every you will need for your daily regime , all products are completely natural and contain no harmful chemicals , are dermalogically tested and suitable for all skin types even hyper sensitive skins.

Note MDA is not practical the week before the wedding have 2 weeks before and use a AHA exfoliator to brighten 3 days before the wedding

If your have any more questions ill be happy to help

My skin had started to look a bit dull and I really wanted to treat myself to some skincare stuff for the wedding, so I bought loads of Elemis anti-ageing stuff. It was a fairly big investment (about £200 overall - but this was cheaper than it would be to buy all of them individually, as I waited for Elemis to put out a big Christmas bumper pack). I now cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day with eye cream, exfoliate and use a mask twice a week and have a facial every 4 weeks. I started mid December and I am really pleased with the results now - my skin is much brighter and I generally look much less tired and 'too-long-in-the-office-y'.

I'd really like to carry on after the wedding but the reality is, there's probably much more important things I'll be spending my money on rather than throwing it at my face with abandon. Espesh when I restart my chinese food addiction, which has been much-mitigated pre-wedding!

I'm pretty lucky in the skin department. I have quite good skin, and although its dry, it's fine so long as I moisturise immediately after showers and after I wash my face. I've always used Clinique moisturiser, so all I've done is buy the Clinique extra mild cleanser and dry to combination skin toner, so I have the whole 3 steps. Not sure if it will make a difference or not, but I feel good for having committed to taking care of my skin.

Nothing extraordinary just trying to do all the things most people probably do anyway, e.g. moisturising every day, putting a night cream on, using a face scrub twice a week. This isn't so much about my wedding though, more that I'll be 30 at the end of the year and figured it's about time I started developing some good habits to look after my skin.

You're all making me feel terribly guilty lol!!! Ill be 39 at the end of June (a week after we get hitched) and although people are surprised and generally think I look younger, I can't help but see a wrinkly, grey, wizened old fizzgog when I look in the mirror each morning !! I've recently started using pears soap for face and body, in the hope that I'll miraculously look like a pretty young thing in no time- but it dries my skin something chronic. And I am a total slut when it comes to any form of beauty regime!!! I do have roller ball caffeine eye stuff, eye creams, Q10 creams, clinique toner (or something clinique anyway) ... Basically allsorts. Trouble is, they only get dragged from the deep dark corners of my 'stuff' box every so often.... And yet I'm really concerned about looking haggard on my wedding pics. Must try harder! Must try harder! MUST TRY HARDER!!!! I feed my family well yet eat crap, I smoke (will defo stop pre wedding cos these roll ups don't half give me orange fingers... The only 'golden glow' I'm likely to have at this rate!!) I don't get enough quality sleep, imbibe too much caffiene, don't get enough fresh air...... SEE???!!! A complete and utter Waynetta Slob!!!! Please someone send me a virtual kick up the a**e so I don't regret my big day pics!!!! :0o
