Beckham Baby

Red Baroness, 11 July, 2011 at 09:13 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 43

I actually think the name Harper is quite cute, but Seven? Bit weird, no? I know it is David's lucky number and the baby was born in the 7th month at 7am and weight 7lbs something, but...

Like Brooklyn was named after where he was conceived, I guess they decided that they'd name this one after the time instead.

Harpers alright, its a huge name for girls and boys in the USA and think its more normal then Cruz (WTF!?) however SEVEN!??!?! when you say it together it sounds like your saying 'Half Seven Beckham!!'

I really like both names Harper and Seven. It's unusual without being daft (think Fifi Trixabelle Geldof).

Yes Harper is a really nice name, not so keen on Seven mind you.

I like the name Harper, and I kinda like Seven too. Better than Jason Lee's child's name - Pilot Inspektor Lee. Poor child.

Wasn't there a horror/ thriller movie called 'seven' a while back? I think Brad Pitt was in it. A bit of a grim association but it was the first thing that came to mind!

There was a horror film called Seven, really good film. I quite like the name Harper, never heard of it before though. Didn't know it was popular in the US. My friend will be gutted, he's always had Seven picked out for what he'd call his kid.

Of all the people you actually KNOW in your life, have any of them picked odd or unusual names for their kids?

My cousin has a son called Fletcher, I think that's the most unusual I can come up with. I'll have to have a think!

Once knew a girl called Storm, after X Men.

@ Mrs C: Funny you should say that, as I was thinking it sounded like a new and improved bottle of Harpic! "Harpic Seven, coming soon to shelves near you....."

I like Harper - but one of the BT ladies pointed out it sounds like half past seven so I now have that thought in my head.

Like when Nicole Kidman had Sunday Rose and someone said it sounded like Sunday Roast! ?

We have had loads of duplicates in our friends and family circle with relatively normal names:

    4 x Noah

    4 x Charlie

    2 x Henry

    1 x Harry

    2 x Jack

And then a few old fashioned sounding ones...

    1 x Douglas (Dougie)

    1 x Reginald (Reggie)

1 x Arthur (brother of Reggie)

    And then...

    1 x Rocco

    1 x Scarlotte Poppy

2nd Cousins - Willow May & Flynn (means Son of a redhead - my cousin looks like a ginger Liono... big red curly hair and fluffy red beard!!)

Niece & Nephew - Carla (Portuguese) & Jaime (Portuguese spelling of Jamie for a boy... I did tell my sister that I thought it wass a girl's name but she didn't care!)
