Bedding - Shop for me please!

far2calm, 23 August, 2012 at 11:02 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

So my new king size bed gets delivered today, we’ve totally redecorated the bedroom, it’s a big room, so H made a walk in wardrobe (love it) all matching with the draws, bedside cabinet and wardrobe doors, it’s like a walnut colour, not to dark. Carpet is plain, beige type colour, blends in well.

Anyway I wallpapered the whole room with this, and I first I thought it was a bit like a nasty old B&B but I totally love it now, very classy me thinks. It’s a pearl type paper, so has a sheen to it, and the darker colour is silvery

But I can’t find any quilt covers that go, everything is to patterned, looking like I need something pretty plain, but that’s boring. Also curtains, I did find some in John Lewis which where perfect colour match and had black out lining, but they were £80.

So if anyone fancies shopping for me please go for it, let me see what you can find ?

Thanks

I don't think that's bad for curtains, especially if they have black out lining! If they match perfectly though I'd say that they'd be a good investment, you'll have them up for as long as you have the wallpaper!

Whats the size of the curtains!? £80 for a pair for my bedroom would be a bargain!

Thats true, I suppose if I buy linings as an extra they wont be particularly cheap!

I'm possibly being tight, ha. These are the curtains,

I just think they are very basic for the price. I have vouchers for John Lewis from the Wedding so might just get them ordered, ha.

There is a beautiful range of bedding by-believe it or not- Kylie Minogue! It is pretty expensive but is often on sale in department stores. It's quite "boudoir" and comes in subtle colours whites/silvers/beiges with embroidery or embellishments, matching scatter cushions etc. You could always put them on your Wedding list :-)

WFS. If you have vouchers - definately get them. Anything else you got that wasn't quite right, you'd end up regretting and wished you'd got the perfect ones!

All very true, think I'll just get the curtains... still on the look out for a quilt cover!
