Been let down by supplier and I get married on Saturday!!!

morristobe, 9 September, 2013 at 10:45 Posted on Planning 0 8

I need help!

i have booked a candy cart, post box and sparkly backdrop through a company called a little bit of bling based in the West Midlands. Over Facebook I've seen various posts where the woman hasn't turned up to weddings as she's suffering from depression. I emailed the woman who confirmed everything with my booking would be ine. Today however I received a message saying she's still unwell and unable to carry out my booking. Therefore they will be making me the refund today.

Can anyone reccomend any other companies local to Bromsgrove? I'm in bits now and working full time I'm struggling to find time to contact suppliers :-(

Firstly, the things you have been let down over are small extra details to your wedding, whilst you must be upset because you want them, the wedding will go ahead and be great without them.

If you are busy and can't contact suppliers I'd delegate this task asap, get your friends and family on the case for you - hopefully someone can be booked at this late notice. Ebay has lots of postboxes for hire, you can search by postcode radius. The market is also struated with Candy Cart companies, hopefully there will be some in your local area, surely one of them will be able to assist you ?.

    Hi

im sorry to hear about what's happened the post boxes you can buy cardboard ones on ebay and get next day delivery also places like hobby craft and other craft store will sell them you could just make a sign on your computer print it out and glue it to the box?

Also I was going to have a sweet cart put made my own sweet table you could go in to any supermarket or Costco? And buy jars and bowl and sweets all at once the jars at asda are £1 that we bought there glass jars with lids also sainsburys had big plastic bowls for £1.50 instead of £5.

I realise you may not like my suggestions but I hope they have helped as what you have been left down with could be sorted quite quickly if you chose to do it yourself while your at work could you not get your friends or family to go to the store for you and pick up sweets etc x

Hello - I have been reading about this company for a while (there are previous threads and on Facebook about it) and once I saw a page where people who had been let down by suppliers could do a shout out and other local wedding suppliers would chop in if they could help. I'm on my phone and don't have the link but perhaps someone else knows of it? I think it's a Facebook group about wedding scams - not that I am saying it's a scam but done others had been let down that way. If I can find it I will post it! Good luck x

Really sorry to hear this. I was hoping she would come good for you after reading your previous threads. Can't really add to what's already been said but hope she refunds you quickly.
