Bella Epoque Knutsford or similar

MrsRainbowtobe, 1 January, 2012 at 22:36 Posted on Planning 0 15

Hi Ladies,

I admit I haven't had the time for extensive research at the moment, its more half an hour here and there when I get a chance but I really like Bella Epoque in Knutsford for a venue and to have the ceremony there aswell. Its small, intimate and stylish. I know some of you will have scoured the UK to find the perf ect venue so I wondered if any of you have come across a similar venue but maybe in the Lakes as I quiet fancy the idea of going to the Lakes for a weekend to do it?

The only place I have checked out is Langdale Chase, which is beautiful, but I think I might be after something a bit smaller and personal

I was in Knutsford recently on a corporate job and the venue you mentioned looked very good, although I didn't eat there. Knutsford is a really nice place that I truly liked.

Sorry this doesn't answer your question, although as nobody else has replied yet, I wanted to get the thread moving.....?

What could be a more romantic wedding theme than celebrating long-lasting love? This theme can be both incredibly sentimental and funny. You can incorporate it in almost every part of your wedding in a meaningful way. Getting ideas from www.eastbridal.com

    Hi Mrs Rtobe,

We went to a wedding a Belle Epoque last year, it was one of the best weddings I've been to, a beautiful place, food was amazing and the little courtyard outside was perfect.

We are getting married in Bowness, Lakes in July. What part are you looking at? Langdale Chase is nice but very expensive. There are loads of nice places, maybe do a google search.

Hi, try Holbeck Ghyll in the Lakes? I did a wedding there a couple of years ago and its very intimate and lovely. But personally I dont think you can top the Belle Epoque - was photographing a wedding there on Friday and its just stunning - one of my fave wedding venues ever!

Thanks Porche and Nicola, I am definately going to consider Belle Epoque now, I'll give them a call to go and talk to them at the weekend.

I had looked at Langdale Chase and they do a small Oak room with use of the conservatory. Me and OH have stopped off there a couple of years ago for lunch and it was beautiful, might be an excuse for another little visit to the Lakes!

Where about on Bowness are you getting married? I love Bowness! And I'll look into the Holbeck aswell. Thanks for the tip x All this research is giving me a headache?

Belle Epoque is a fantastic venue, we did a wedding there last year - pics should be on my blog.

The whole set - up was fantastic and worked really well, the staff were really attentive and really professional.

Best of luck with your planning x

I was a bridesmaid at Belle Epoque 2 years ago for my best friend and it was lovely. Now that we are looking for a venue I keep looking for something that matches up to it, because I loved it so much but don't want to get married the same place as my friend! We too are looking at the lakes and have appointments with our 2 favourites up there on Sat, Langdale Estate and The Swan at Newby Bridge. For the boutique hotel feel I really like Linthwaite Hall but the max reception numbers are 60 and we need 70. Maybe worth a look for you though? http://www.linthwaite.com/cms/weddings-events.php

    HI All,

Thanks for your feedback on Belle Epoque, we went to view yesterday and it is stunning. OH loves it and wants us to get married there even though it is the 1st place we have viewed, he is seriously turned into a groomzilla since yesterday haha!

ANyway, the place only has 7 rooms so were else did people stay? I see the Cottons is a short taxi ride away, is that the only viable decent option?

    MAny Thanks

There are 9 rooms next door in The Rose and Crown (lovely there) which is next door, 10 rooms in the Cross Keys (next door the other way), and about 5 rooms in the Angel- 2 mins up the road Smiley smile
