Big boob dilemma

lafalot, 27 September, 2015 at 18:17 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi ladies, I know wedding underwear has been done to death on here but I can't find anything that answers my query so apologies for posting another thread.

I am a FF and my dress doesn't have any support or boning. I initially tried it on with a strapless bra but you could see it under the arms and at the low back. The lady in the shop suggested I wear it without the bra (in pic). Which would be perfect if "they" didn't look like a pair of squashed melons under the dress. I think my only option is to get a low back strapless bra or a stick on one but I'm not sure if I can get that in my size.

Can anyone recommend anything suitable or will I need to resort to a boob job!

Can you get bra cups sewn into the front?

Genuinely don't think they look quite squashed melons! You can get those low crossover bras and try it but I think you lol great

The dress looks lovely! Have you tried one of those strapless bustier things?

This is what I mean http://www.bravissimo.com/products/lingerie/bridal/evie-bridal-basque/ivory/pnn5iv/?level=1

    Hi hon,

I'm not going to claim to be an expert on boobs, but I have been doing this for a long time, and seen a few tricks!

The best option I've ever seen for a larger boobed bride, was having support sown into the dress. I would say though that their friend was a professional costumier, so she really knew what she was doing.

    Might be worth looking at?

    Pete

You look lovely and I wouldn't have thought you were freeboobing.

However, have a chat with the seamstress first, and see what she suggests. You can put boning into a dress as well as sew in cups and in-built support.

I think they look great considering you have no support. If you feel more comfortable though, you can ask to get cups sown in to the dress, or you could try something like this https://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_152010335186_-1

Thank you ladies (and gent!) for your comments. I had a panic this morning about my photo being online and tried to delete the post but couldn't work out how so I'm stuck with it!

I've never understood the sewing cups in thing. Do you buy actual cups or is it just a normal bra you get? Sorry if that sounds stupid! I live abroad and my alterations will be done back home so I think I need to email the alterations place and see what they suggest. I can always go in at Christmas with the dress to see what they say.

Thanks again for your help and kind words x
