Bikes....fantastic or foolhardy?

Tillybean, 7 September, 2009 at 13:36 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0

I am seriously considering getting a bike - a Harley to be precise. Anyone else taken up riding in later years and loved/hated it? Is a Harley a nobbish thing to get, or is it such great fun to ride? I kinda like the idea of something bigger and more sturdy.

Any alternatives to a Harley?

Cheers.

I paid for H to do his CBT for his 40th birthday, trying to buy for the man who wants for nothing is hardwork!

The plan was to do the CBT and tootle round on a 125 as we have bike thingames on our licences as we're so old. However, once his instructor allowed him to ride his 600cc the 125 plan went out of the window and subsequently H is taking his full bike licence course in October and dribbling over various bikes specifically the Ninja (sad man LOL)

Fantastic? - from his perspective, yes, new hobby somthing fun

Foolhardy? - possibly, costing a fortune, but what's the point in being the richest corpse in the graveyard. I sense a crash coming but you can't not do something just because what might happen.

Harley? personally I don't like them, but if you do, then go for it ?
