Black and White colour scheme - help needed please!!!

I'm having a black and white colour scheme so I don't think it looks boring! I think it can actually make quite a bold statement. 3 weeks and you can see my pics and decide for yourself! ?

Google images is always a good place to start to look for colour scheme ideas.

For centrepieces, maybe silver painted twigs in black vases, white candles, crystals on the table....

Black and white can look really great, and your bridesmaid (if you're having any) are probably more likely to wear a black/white dress again than some of the other popular wedding colours.

As for centre pieces, what are you thinking about? Floral, candles or something else?

I think a black and white theme is lovely and can be really sophisticated.

What about silver candelabras as centre pieces with white candles. I now it doesnt combine the black but you can have other black touches on the table?

Or black vases with white flowers?

I think black and white weddings look fab, very sophisticated, there are a lot of lovely black and white invitations, cakes etc out there, and i did see a lovely photo once of a venue all done out in black and white, they had gone for balloons within balloons as their centerpieces and whilst it wouldnt be my choice they did look very striking.

There are also a lot of simple black candlabras about - try melody maison for example, i know they do some pretty ones!

My daughter was having black, white and silver but then changed it to black, ivory and gold. Her theme is along the lines of whimsical (sp?) sort of midway between Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter so she is incorporating black and ivory polka dots, stripes and checks together with gold as an accent colour. She's also having black ostrich feathers in the centrepieces as well as black and gold flowers (this is where I come in LOL!)

I've done quite a few black and white weddings in the last few years so it is a very popular colour scheme:-

My colours are black, ivory and hot pink/ fuchsia so i dont think it's boring at all!

I think the silver will really look good with the black and white.

Centerpieces depend on what sort of thing you want, floral, candles etc.

Although it probably hasn't, i hope that helps!

We are getting married in October and are having black, ivory and orange as our colours.

Groom and ushers are having charcoal grey suits with ivory waistcoats - ushers with orange ties and groom with ivory tie and my bridesmaid is in ivory with a bouquet of orange calla lilies.

Hopefully this will tie in nicely with the autumn colours outside if we are lucky enough to have decent weather for outdoor photos!!

We have sent our invitations out in black and ivory and are having ivory chair covers with black sashes and orange "tropical" flower centrepieces.

If you like the idea of silver candlesticks, how about these distressed vintage look ones? There's guest table ones, top table one and tall matching ones that stand at an entrance to your ceremony/recption venue. All for sale or hire. Thought you might also get inspiration from a black/ivory/deep red themed wedding also - see picture with tall black flutre vases. Happy planning. Philippa x

My sister had Black White and Silver when she got married and it looked lovely and very classy.

i had a black bridesmaid dress with a burst of sparkly bits at the side from the top of a slit with a white bit coming down it was gorgeous.
