Blank cards to make invites

nearlysummer, 9 April, 2010 at 11:46 Posted on Planning 0 14

I am going to attempt to make my own invites and I am looking for some blank cards made from paper that is textured, I think it is maybe handmade paper or recycled? Have searched but can't find what I'm looking for, any help would be very appreciated

I got my cards from The Works a kind of book shop that does arts and crafts bit and pieces. Have you tried Sussex Stationers, Hobby craft and Argos, hope this helps

Do you have a local Hobbycraft or craft store? I got all my bits and bobs from them, I didnt like ordering from ebay or internet sites as I was often disappointed with what I got as colours tend to look different on screen.

The Works and Hobbycraft are good places to try, also The Range is a good one if there's one near you. Have you tried searching for papercraft shops nearby? Most places aren't too far from one. If you were feeling a bit more adventurous you could buy A4 card and make your own...

I got some card from ebay, and a local independant card shop. If you want textured card, try searching for hammered card, that give the card a nice finish

    We got ours from

    http://www.weddingcrafter.co.uk/

For a couple of pounds they'll send you a sample pack which is good to check colours before ordering in bulk. I'd definitely recommend them Smiley smile

I got mine from Hobbycraft too! Got all my crafty bits from there - actually they havent 'not had' anything that I have wanted so far! Its my new fave shop. Keep thinking I am going to actually take up a 'hobby' so I can keep going in there after the wedding! haha

Another vote for PDA - really reasonable and you can order swatch cards to see what you are ordering.
