BM dress alterations. How much should they cost?

Im having mine done at the same shop who are making my bridesmaids dresses. Its costing me £50 for my alterations.

My sister paid £75 to have a corset back put in.

However for my sisters bridesmaid dresses it was £75 for any amount of alteration even if it was only adjusting the hem so be prepared for the price to vary alot depending on where you go.

The shop where we are buying our BM dresses charge £30 an hour, this will cover the hem I beleive. I had my dress altered by a seperate seamstress and was chagred £35 for the hips to be let out and a corset back. So if you can shop around.

Ouch, this is expensive! Would it be an option to just go to a normal alterations place and not mention that it's a bridesmaid dress? I don't often have alterations done, so not sure of the normal cost, but maybe it would be cheaper?
