BMs came to try their dresses - anybody want to see???

Yeah Geminibebe they were less than half the price than buying them here.

PG - they do fit pretty well at the waist and hips its just the bust that needs taken in. The bust measurement for all the dresses were quite big for some reason and after we thought about it for a while we decided that it must be because of the implants a lot of the American ladies have!!!!!! Possibly not but it just made the girls feel better that they aren't 'below average' up front....lol!!!!

What fabric are they? they look silky (hmmm would love a dress like that nowhere to wear it now tho...unless you fancy another BM ?)

Well I'm an E cup and the bust area on my dress was still too big!! I couldn't figure that out at all as I thought a E was pretty big but not in US terms!

Cotteesgirl - they have 3 layers - satin with 2 layers of organza on top (or I think they call it organdy) although they look satin in the pic.

PG - yeah an E cup is quite big - those lucky American ladies (or maybe its the American guys that are lucky??? ? )

Ooooh Gillsy they are lush!! I'm glad you and your brides are happy with them! lol Americans just tend to be bigger everywhere! As you know I've been looking at House of Brides! I've heard a lot about getting charged loooads at customs!! Did you have family out there to deliver them to? or did you pick them up from somewhere? ie: a warehouse/shop etc? xx

Customs charges are basically no more than vat, plus a handiling charge for the carrier. I would estimate about 22% total additional charge.

my mum and dad have a villa out there so I got the dressed delivered to their neighbour which was really v handy. I think even with adding the VAT, delievery and custom charges on they would still have been quite a bit cheaper than here.

Its the ususal with these things though - there are so many horror stories about girls ordering from House of Brides and not getting what they wanted but these things happen to girls that order from Bridal shops local to them too. There are always good and bad stories - I've been a good one ?

I really have fallen in love with some dresses from the impressions range but to buy over here they are £170 each - works out $128 dollars from house of brides even with delivery and insurance, tax etc added on works out so much cheaper.

Was thinking of being quite cheeky and getting my bridesmaids to try them on at a stockist over here to get an idea of the sizing then ordering them online!

Thats exactly what we did. It is a bit cheeky I suppose but we went to the shop that I'd bought my dress from so I didn't feel just as bad because I'd actually spent some money in there already. Good luck!!!

Gorgeous dresses. They look fab and don't look too big. I think if I hadn't got mine already, I would have bought them from USA too. I found that the cup sizing was weird too as I'm an FF/G cup and they were too big for me. It was very strange having something where bust being too big, it usually fits every where but bust too small !!!
