Body Moisturiser Recommendations Please!

WhiteSparkles, 16 March, 2011 at 08:06 Posted on Planning 0 10

As the title says, can anyone recommend a moisturiser that has left them feeling silky smooth and glowing?! I love using Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream but my OH hates the smell and the last thing I want is for him to recall our wedding and how I didn't smell too good ☹️ A friend recommended Elemis Vitamin Rich Moisturiser so I bought it, tried it for a week and thought it was rubbish! So that was a waste of money...

Thanks!!!

Its not cheap but i use the No7 Repair and Protect Body Serum - and its on 3-4-2 at the moment! I will have to go back to tesco body butter after the wedding as its too expensive to keep up!! ha ha!

I tend to use Origins Gloomaway grapefruit body lotion or to be honest, any of the Body Shop body butters as they smell delicious!

I Love the elizabeth arden - thats always my first choice,

I've also tried the Coco Butter from body shop which I liked and is on 2 for £15 at the moment, but it's better for winter use as it's quite thick.

Other than that we use supermarket stuff - Nivea Visage I think, it's called intensive moisturise.

I love Soap & Glory's the Righteous Body Butter. Really moisturising and sinks in quick. It does smell strong though, so would depend on whether your OH liked the scent. They do a mini travel sized version though so you can try it before getting the big one.

For my body moisturiser I love the coconut body butter from the body shop. I love the smell, and it seems to remind everyone on their holidays. I actually had a girl come up to me in NYC and ask what I was wearing because she liked the smell so much! Plus it does leave your skin feeling soft which is always a bonus ?

I use Palmers cocoa butter, it's fabulous, smells lush and I even double it up as a facial moisturiser if I run out of my regular stuff. Tesco had it at £1.50 for the big bottle last week, but not sure if it's still on.

Failing that, I also love the Treacle Moon - My Coconut Island body butter, but I tend to keep it more as my treat for when I'm veg-ing in my 'jamas.

Both leave my skin feeling really soft and lovely..... and they both smell good enough to eat!?
