Booked my cake

I went to see the lady who does all of our birthday cakes to book mine for my 40th and ended up booking my wedding cake at the same time.

I am not one to procrastinate so as we always get compliments on how nice our birthday cakes taste I booked a 4 tier cake in vanilla, chocolate and lemon with a small vanilla one for the top tier just for me as I know I will forget to eat some at the reception and I love cake!

Haven't got a picture but it will be round, white icing, champagne ribbon with a diamonte brooch on each tier and pearlescent dots on the icing. I think it was a bargain at £225.

    Sounds an absolute bargain - I do hope you'll have candles on the top like the thread title too! I love candles on cakes!

    Sounds fab! and a good bargain too! Mine is costing £250 for 3 tiers. 1 fruit and 2 vanilla sponge. and i don't get to see it until the day before the wedding. Good thing i'm not too fussed about our cake or that would really stress me.

    Mmm, cake! Sounds like it will be delicious - good job it's lunchtime so I can console myself with a sandwich!

    You def got a bargain there - my 3 tier is costing £320 and that's with no decoration!
