Booked my first wax......ouch ****Updated*****

Im not going to lie and say it doesnt hurt, it does, but only for a couple of seconds, it doesnt hurt once the strip is off. and its so worth it. why are you going for that 1 1st? you say it like your working towards something else?

I wouldnt be without my 'landing strip' (or brazillian! lol)

Try not to tense up or it will hurt more, its not bad and its well worth it, some people just have thier bikini line done, but my view on it is if you're going to do it, do it properly!!

The thing i find worst about it is getting 'stuck together' afterwards lol and its really not a good idea to have a hot bath or shower to wash off excess wax after as that can irritate things, I find having my eyebrows done worse!!

Is this a nifty dye job for after the wax?

Thanks girls, future I am planning on having a Hollywood eventually but didnt fancy having everything off in one swoop but I have had 3 tattoos on my back, foot and belly so im hoping it wont be as bad as them.

Lorna what gets stuck? Am I being silly? I hate having my eyebrows done, had them threaded and that hurt like buggery.

But booked the lady for my hair and make up, not bad 3 hairs and 5 make up at £288. All at home too!

I was trying to think of a polite way to puy it but i cant, lol i just hate it when my bum cheeks get stuck together and i have to 'prise' them apart! lol as for the funny shape, i was going to have mine done as a christmas tree last year, but didnt have enough hair!! how about a vegas? where you have the lot off and then have some gems stuck on!!

Just wanted to say good luck and you are much braver than me - two things in life I havnt managed to do - wax "there" and attend a spinning class (silly I know but Ive heard horror stories about both!!)

It will hurt, just not too bad. I have brazillian all the time, however, i only had my arm pits done the once, nd that imo was once too many! Don't tense up it will hurt more. I chat all the way through mine to take my mind off the situation! Also, there will be left over wax making you all sticky, don't bath for 24 hrs. Use baby oil to remove the stickyness! good luck! We expect a full report!

I wouldnt dream of my underarms, wow that must have hurt. If it doesnt hurt too much I might have my legs done too for the Honeymoon, dont fancy shaving when in the outbacks of Kenya!

Do it! Under arms was the worse pain i've ever had. I prefer my legs with a razor, i'm never happy with the leg results, it's so easy to shave them. My OH has his lower back done (he only has hair at the bottom!) and his ar$e for holiday, never will he consider his man bits! It makes his eyes water!

Haha Moya, did you tell him? H2B just got in from work and asked if I had booked it. I informed him it would another week before he would go near me, lol.

I'm dying to find the courage to have my first wax, I've had my eyebrows done and thats fine but I think the never regions is just a totally different story altogether. I did try to wax my legs myself once, i have to say I think I would rather walk around like an ape than go throught that torture again, but my freind says it doesn't hurt anything like trying to do it yourself.

Yeah I dont mind doing the legs with the razor so might just stick with my lady bits being waxed. He wants me to shave his lower back as when he had a tattoo they shaved it so it grows quite dark now.

He did veet his bits one time, my god did he come out in blisters. Never again as I had to wait so long for him to heal and recover! He is too shamed to trim when living here with my parents, told him he has to tomorrow as he is home alone, lol

If you want a hollywood go for it, its only an extra 2 strips, if you can go through getting a brazillian a hollywood doesnt make alot of difference. x

I'm glad someone has brought this up as I'm going to get a brazillian for the wedding. H2B is always saying how much he likes the "no hair down there" look but I'm not so keen as it's not the 'norm'. I have waxed my bikini line myself and yeah it hurt, but once the first strip was off it wasn't too bad. My BM is a beauty therapist and she has them all of the time but doesn't like doing hollywood's and doesn't like the all off look. As for a las vagas, I've never heard of that but i'm pretty sure I won't be doing that.

OK - I'm going to admit something now... I don't really understand what exactly is involved in a Brazillian...

So, I just did a search for it and from what I can see - the only difference between a Brazillian and all off is the small landing strip at the top?? That means there's absoloutely no hair anywhere down there???? I don't get it??? Am I missing something??

I will also admit I have shaved it all off before and it's a very strange feeling with knickers on having no hair protection I can tell you!!!

Well some poeple dont really like to think of women with no hair due to the young person thing but at the end of the day its a choice we all can make. I have shaved all off for the last 4 or so years and yes it is weird but also much better I think.

My worst nightmare would be flashing my flange to a stranger, who is trying to make small-talk, whilst I'm being tortured to tears!!!

Don't get me wrong, I like to keep a "tidy bush," but I could NEVER go for a wax. I must be a prude too love!

No girls you are not prude, I just fancied a change to see how long it lasted over shaving it. If its the same then ill save myself £28 a pop and carry on shaving but I hate the horrible knicker line I sometimes get from shaving! Least this time I wont have him moaning that I have missed a bit lol x

I generally find it lasts about 3 weeks x

Oh im a bit jealous, i would love a tidy little strip but im so not brave enough, which is weird because im usually a up for anything girl...may have to try it one day x
