We went to look around one of our shortlist of venues last night, and i fell in love with it!! It's nothing 'grand' but to me it suits us alot, even the decor in our reception and ceremony room matches the colours i have picked! It's just meant to be haha. So yes we have booked it and i will be paying the deposit next week!
We are having a civil ceremony now instead of the church, saves us a few pennies on cars Pluss i like the idea of it all being in one place.
Instead of June 2013 we have now booked 20th April 2013 as we get the hotel exclusively with it being out of season.

Looks a nice place. What sort of deal are they offering you for being 'out of season'?

Now you've got a venue and a date, presumably the fun begins now with looking for photographers and all the other major purchases

ajdown – Yess I actually cant wait, I want to book everything now, but that wouldn’t be very practical lol, they aren’t doing much of an offer with it being out of season to be honest all they say is I don’t have to have minimum numbers and I am able to have the hotel exclusively with no other wedding there, free of charge.

Lol jojo2, very true, they have a spa too. I can see my self booking in for some treatments lol.

I always moan when people wish their life away but I want the next year and 9 months to hurry up!

We got engaged in September, and booked for May 2012 within about a week - so had 20months to wait and it felt like forever! I'm now almost at the 10month stage, have no idea where the time went, and hope that the next 10months go as quickly as the last 10 did.

I got married just down the road from there at Marston Farm Hotel! I had a look at lea Marston too. Will be great that you'll have everything you need there, the spa does a great deal (or at least it did when I looked) for the B2B too.
