Arggh I'm so excited, today we paid the deposit for our ceremony and reception venue. Still got a couple of years (March 2015) till we get married, but now that's confirmed it's definitely happening and we can now relax a bit and focus on buying a house and saving up first. (Ha, who am I kidding, still gonna be planning it 24/7!)

It's Shendish Manor in Hertfordshire. Photos don't really do it justice, but it's a gorgeous venue and much more affordable than some other stunning locations we've viewed!

So happy for you. i've stayed here so many times!! They have some beautiful shabby chic rooms on one side of the hotel that I always request. I'm sure your wedding will be amazing at Shendish Manor!

Thank you, I can't believe we finally have a date and venue! Butterfly2014 it's the 'manor house' side that we're having for the wedding too. Not been able to view any rooms other than the modern ones but they were lovely too so I have high hopes! ?
