Booking my venue ***Flash*** my first flash haha..xx

Heya HFraser87, I'd ask about room charges for guests, if they'll give you a cheaper price after booking your wedding or if they'll do block bookings to keep costs down, also ask about corkage fees, I know our venue have written to us telling us they'd escort our guests off the venue if they're caught with liquor from outside the venue if they've not paid the corkage fee (£5 for a miniature!!!) I think thats about it!

Weve picked the Marwell Hotel in Hampshire, it's attached to the Zoo! This is the room for the venue, it looks a bit empty in this photo but we will have more tables.

it also has it's own private bar too with the backlighting being able to be set to my colour scheme of yellow.

We're having the the whole day there so got lots of ideas for decoration etc!

Thanks everyone! It's finally booked and I'm one excited lady!! Haha!

i just kept emailing back and forth etc and said it still wasn't what I was prepared to pay etc! The price originally was a joke! Don't be afraid to tell them it's too pricey! She even phoned me in the end and was like...what do you want to pay and tell me your exact numbers of adults & children and I will make it work for you.

A big tip... If your going to have a buffet/BBQ/hog roast in the evening...don't cater it full. She was quoting me originally for 150 adult buffets..when realistically not everyone is going to eat.. So we've only catered for about 80% in the evening plus we've got lots of young under 5 kids etc that won't want/Need a full adults portion of good..especially when I've got a sweetie table..they'll just be hypo instead haha!!

When I first got the quote I got really disheartened as I didn't think my dad would agree to it, but I thought...just ask them if it's negotiable, they can only say no.. and hey presto...a few million emails later and I got my dream venue!

Yes It's just been redecorated apparently..it's lovely and light & airy in there now!
