Booking the registrar

kdunmore3, 18 March, 2009 at 11:19 Posted on Planning 0 2

Does anyone know if you have to pay you £60 to the registrar if you are prosionally booking them more than a year in advance or do you wait until you confirm it and year before. Also do you both have to be there to book it in advance or again just when you go a year before? I am confused.

    Hi,

We paid £30 to book in advance and get in their diary (over the phone). Then when we went to give notice a year before it cost the £60.

We have provisionally booked our date over the phone but have not had to pay anything. We have had a letter from the registrar to confirm the provisional booking.

We have to go see them after 17th of July this year, which is when we will pay the £60.

We paid about £100 I think just to get our date held! I think it may have been more expensive as ours is a Sunday though.
