Boot Camp/New Year Fitness

Who's doing what?

I have my first Boot Camp session tomorrow with a chap called Mo who's just signed off his email to me as 'Train hard, train smart'. I'm going to die, aren't I?

    Hope it's not Mo Farah!

I did Regimental fitness last year for a bit. I really enjoyed it. It was hard work but really good fun as they play lots of team games, etc. It's quite pricey though and not so fun when it's raining!

I'm not doing anything at the moment as have been on nights and now feel really run down and ill. Will be getting back to the gym soon though!

Good for you, sounds like it might be tough, but fun.

Swim at least 4 times a week, started the 30 Day Shred and I do Super Circuits once a week, it is a long class 1 hour 30 minutes which always runs over, but I love it, was my first time back in about 8 weeks on Monday and it was hard but I felt so good after it, and I wasnt stiff or achey the next day!!! Which is weird ?

Rofl, I've been considering taking up the British Military Fitness stuff. It depends on your personality, I think I'd love boot camp style because I like the group workout factor, motivates me more than a personal trainer, where I feel a bit awkward.

Will you do me a free wooden person to sit on my 'I've-karked-it-due-to-boot-camp-coffin', please?

Seriously impressed by the other regimes out there. Keep us posted as to how you get on!

Of course. I'll even give it little clay dumbbells instead of flowers.

    Brilliant!

I have cut down on carbs, all I have is a roll with my (homemade) soup at lunch. I went to the gym monday, going tonight and booked in for body combat tomorrow.

I need to lose about a stone and a half, possibly 2 stone. I feel like a proper lardy. Tho, since doing this I already feel better.

I did bootcamp last year and loved it. It was by far the most effective exercise regime I have ever done.

Good luck though. he sounds like a toughie!

It will hurt Storky! I started back to mine on Monday and by god, i am aching. As a small bit of advice, have a long soak in the bath in the evening. I have found that it has helped me a little.

I would love to go to a boot camp but there aren't any that I can get to straight after work. Hoping this will change when we move but doubt it!

Making do with restarting c25k instead and determined to get to the end this time!

    Well done people!

I have done a full week of P90X which is an hour a day DVD and has diet guide too- on the 'fat shredder' phase for the first 30 days so no carbs for me!!

I am feeling better in myself tho (that is the sort of thing my ma says!)

I did military bootcamp last Summer. Too cold to do now. My PT instructor has done a deal with me for 2 PT classes a week for Jan, plus I'm doing my normal 2 spin classes a week. I've also half said I'd do the 5k in April, so my OH is buying some new trainers for my birthday, hopefully they'll make me go faster.

Hope that's enough to look good on the beach in Cuba in 8 weeks!

I'm a part time fitness instructor. In the last 3 nights I've taught 2 Kettlebell classes, 2 Metafit classes and a Pilates class. I'm actually struggling to walk myself after having a 2 week break from classes at Xmas lol.

For the rest of the week I've got 1 more Pilates class then 2 runs and I think that will do me

good luck with the boot camp Storky - remember no pain, no gain!!!!!
