No tips cus I haven't done one but I'm sure some of the lovely ladies that have will give some advice! I once did a DIY photo book for my OH and he def liked it, your OH is surely always gonna like some gorgeous pictures of his woman not wearing an awful lot :-Di suppose it depends on how your particular photo shoot works but take some pretty undies that you feel comfortable in, maybe borrow one of OH shirts or something to wear?

I did. My H absolutely loved it and I was so glad I went.

Being on the larger size, I was really nervous but the photographer made me feel very very relaxed and I loved every second of it.

My only advice would be to make sure you know exactly where you're going and give yourself plenty of time. I got caught in a major traffic jam, finally arrived 30 minutes late, red-faced and flustered!

Having said that, it doesn't show in the photos and I was thrilled to bits with them ?

I would recommend it as I am really happy with my pictures but the two main drawbacks for me were the price and the fact they rushed me.

Cost- I paid £550 for the digital images on a USB stick (so to be fair I have them forever and can print as much as I want), and a small leatherbound book with 3 of my favourite photos in to give to my OH on our wedding day.

Experience- I must have been there for a total of an hour and a half and that was having a full makeover done and the shoot itself. The shoot mustn't have been more than an hour and I had 3 outfit changes! For one of the outfits she must have only taken about 6 photos. They had a lot of bookings on the day I went and I felt a bit like I was on a conveyor belt.

I had my shoot on the 7th, absolutely loved it!!

The pictures came back to me in 3 days, which is great as I am so impatient! lol She called me to tell me they were ready to look at in my privateonline gallery, and whilst she was on the phone I had to ask her if they were my pictures!

I am very self concious but the way she'd shot them (it's mostly the lighting that does all the work) I look amazing! so much so that I bought an extra 10 pictures because I couldn't choose just 10 from the 40 odd she'd shot!

I ordered them yesterday and they take 3-4 weeks apparently, so I can't wait to receive them, but can't wait even more to give them to OH on the wedding day, his reaction will be priceless! He's quite prudish, and goes red if there's a topless woman on the telly! haha so he may faint after seeing these! haha

Try to go into it with an open mind, they know what they're doing and make you feel amazing! Smiley smile

    Good luck!

That's the trouble with a lot of these companies, they want to get you out as quick as possible, I only take on one shoot a day and they last up to 2 hours with all the different lighting setups I use.

After reading about them on here I mentioned the idea to my H, and he said he thought they were awful and tacky. I don't think this at all, but it made up my mind about whether to have one very quickly! So beware, not all men love them.

I've thought about it, and I've mentioned it to H2B but he's not overly fussed on the idea. I've done a bit of modelling in the past (cringe) so think I'd do okay, and I know a lot of photographers that I could contact.

    We'll see, eh!

Ive had a boudoir shoot before, mainly because the studio wanted 'alternative' models for a promotion so I got discount on the images.

Once you are in there, the atmosphere in most places is generally relaxed. Are you going for the whole package of hair and makeup too ?

If so, it's amazing. You will have a fantastic time Smiley smile It makes you feel so pampered.

The nerves will disappear once you look all glamorous, treat yourself to some gorgeous underwear and work it.

The poses the photographer suggested I was a bit apprehensive about, as im not on the small side myself, but when I saw the finished product, I wanted the images for myself !

You will have a fantastic time.

I really fancy this now! quick question though - if you choose a digital package only, then where do you get stuff printed? i really dont fancy schlepping to boots and have my kinky underwear shots spewing out of the machines in the middle of the shop!!! found a groupon style shoot for £40, but that seems too cheap. an hour doesnt seem that long to get shots. though depending on terms and conditions i could buy 2? what is the usual rate for a boudoir shoot?
