Bought our rings yesterday - what have you had engraved on yours?

Hi,

So excited as we went ring shopping yesterday! I have got a twist ring with 4 little diamonds - love it, went in thinking i was going to have a plain shaped ring so am pleased with what I ended up with, and OH has opted for a titanium ring with a colour running through it.

We wanted to have our rings engraved and spent a while deciding on what to have - should it be gushy, serious, funny? We have been together nearly 7 years and OH always said he didn't want to get married so I was pretty shocked when he proposed last year. I always hoped/ knew we would get married eventually and spent a LOT of time badgering him to do it lol.

So - what did we have engraved?! Mine is - I won 28/07/12 and OH's is - She wore me down 28/07/12

To some it is prob a bit odd but is very 'us'!

So, what have you had engraved on urs?

I did this too, I got our names and the date. So his ring said Sian & Gary 18th May 2012 and mine said Gary & Sian 18th May 2012

My ring has his initials and the wedding date, his has my initials and the wdding dte xx

We just had the date 02.03.2013 on both, the guy in the shop tried to persuade us into putting initials or a little message but we felt like although that would be very personal, it would date quite easily.

Probably seems a bit childish (and my oh doesn't know yet) but I've put 'love you mostest' on his... I always have to have the last word in that game

We wasn't actually planning on having ours engraved but it was a deal that was on at the time we ordered them so we got our names and the wedding date.

We spent a while deciding whether or not to have them engraved at all.

I did worry that it may date, but the way I look at it is it will be a fond memory for years to come, and a story to tell the grandchildren so it's all good imo.
