The main problem is the roses used in your bouquet are smaller than the ones in the second photo which results in a smaller bouquet. . Did your florist have the second photo to work to? If so, I would have a word to see if she can alter it for you. You can buy the foam ones in your top photo on ebay or Rainbow Florist Supplies - nothing to do with me by the way - they are a totally different company. If you get stuck, I can get you the same roses as in your bouquet, sing out if you need any help.

    Thank you very much,

stupid question how many roses usually go into a bridesmaid's bouquet?

and do garden centres still sell them?

Varies really, no hard and fast rules. Usually, adult posies are slightly less than a brides and children's smaller. Some Brides like fairly minimalistic bouquets for bridesmaids. Some because of cost, some because they want to spend the bulk of their budget on their bouquet, some because the bridesmaids are petite or teenagers. The size you have is absolutely fine for bridesmaids but if you're disappointed with the size for the money you paid, I would definitely have a word with your florist especially if she was working to the photo as it's quite different in a number of ways but still very pretty! Garden centres do sell them but they tend to go for the fabric artificial rather than foam. Foam ones can get dirty or marked easily when customers continually handle them whereas the fabric ones don't. Hope that helps.

Not really to be honest. Foam are less expensive than the more realistic artificial fabric ones, 'real touch' are the most expensive even though a lot of them aren't actually as realistic as the top of the range artificial fabric flowers. There is also latex but, again, these cost more than foam and not as nice to the touch as the fabric ones as they have that rubbery feel. Many of the foam roses come in bunches with short stems which makes them a lot cheaper than the fabric ones because these are mainly all long stem with leaves. You are welcome to look at the fabric ones on my website if you want to compare prices. I don't tend to use foam other than calla lilies as they are the most realistic but there are prices on all the bouquets so you can get an idea of the difference in prices to what you've seen in foam.

I recently ordered and made my own bridesmaid bouquets they had 12 roses to each bouquet. If you search my post you will see a pic and name of seller. You could just buy the roses to fill out your exsisting boquet IYKWIM

I did look at that style of rose but didnt like the crinkle of the leaves if that makes sense, so I went for the large ivory ones and they look great !!

It looks like they have used different Roses to the picture which will make a difference. Foam are more rigid than fabric so not so pliable.

You will need a lot more foam roses to get the more compact look like I have done here:

You can get them at the Range.. they have bouquet already made tho i personally don't think they look as good as yours but you can strip them down and use the roses as seperates to add to your bouquet

Hi i too went for foam roses due to budget. I found The brides bouquet and i'm so happy i did.

These are the flowers she made for me, it's the preview pic she sent.

The large lilac and ivory bouquet in the right hand corner was the bridesmaid bouquet so more the shape and fullness you were after.

Have a little look at her website and she is also on facebook, i was so pleased with them and really happy with the amount it cost.

    Hope that helps x
