BOUQUET HELP NEEDED, , , , ,

LoveSka, 12 February, 2011 at 15:41 Posted on Planning 0 2

We are getting married almost 200 miles away from home and so I have to have silk flowers. I have bought a hand tied bouquet and I hate it.

My 2 adult BM's are having an orange gerbera on a wrist corsage but our button holes are poppies in honour of both our Grandads who fought in the 2nd world war (wedding is the week before remembrance Sunday so we are buying the poppies from The Royal British Legion) .

HELP, , , , I don't want anything to big as i'm having a short 60's style dress, , , , , , , ,

FLASHES WOULD BE MORE THAN WELCOME?

What was your original bouquet like just out of interest..? Was that gerbera too or different? You could mix the orange and red for your bouquet which would give a similar colour scheme to this:-

For this customer, I mixed rich reds with spider orange gerbera, mango callas and coral roses. They married at sunset in the Arizona desert and wanted the colours to reflect the sunset shades. This style is an 'over the arm' hand-tied.

Another idea is that you can get antique bronze poppies as well as red ones in their artificial form:-

    These are the red poppies:-

They come in various sizes - hope that helps!

Hi, On January 23rd I featured a lady called Sarah Marks on our blog http://lilguyweddings.blogspot.com/ - one of her lines is Heirloom bouquets which I recommend you take a look at! x
