Bouquets

ladyworm, 26 September, 2012 at 20:21 Posted on Planning 0 10

Hi everyone,

Ive been wondering what I want to do with my bouquet after the wedding. If I leave it in water it will be long dead by the time I get back from honeymoon, and both sets of parents are also going on holiday whilst we're away. I've decided to send it away to have it pressed and displayed in a frame. Although its expensive, I really like this idea of being able to keep it for a long time. I'm also sending my mothers corsage to be preserved too for a gift to her.

what are people's plans for their bouquets and other flowers? Has anyone had theirs preserved and care to flash the end result?

I wasn't able to do this, although I'd have loved to: my best friend had a single red rose from her bouquet preserved in a paperweight. Really really lovely.

Don't Gasp.......I am planning on throwing mine to the single ladies. I toyed with many ideas one being to have a replica in silk, but when i really thought about it, it's in the photos and the video, if I keep it it'll be dead by the time I come back so I would rather chuck it and have the fun seeing the women grab it, the lucky lady gets to enjoy my bouquet. I was given table flowers from a friends wedding and I loved having them, felt like the money wasn't wasted.I do however love the paperweight idea ?

I do like this idea, kind of traditional and lovely to give someone something so memorable from your day. The only singe lady at my wedding will be my bridesmaid, and she'll have her own bouquet to keep!!

    Hello.

Just an idea but artificial bouquets look really real and you can also get matching ones for the bridesmaids and also button holes and corsages. We do them at our premises and they are really popular as you can keep them forever

Mine is currently in my mum and dad's freezer. Absolutely no idea what to do with it now.
