Bra!

jemster, 21 January, 2015 at 11:36 Posted on Planning 0 20

My dress does have little lace cap sleeves but from what I remember (it's currently being altered) they be quite far apart so a normal bra would probably show a bit of strap. I was recommended a wonder bra but I don't want a cleavage, I just want my boobs at the height and level they should be?

I tried a few strapless bras but I felt they did nothing to lift me, only just to cover me, I felt a bit bandaged. I am only 34c but I definitely need lift but is this possible without straps? Is it SO bad if a bit of pretty bra lace shows?? I really don't like those plastic see through straps, I think they look awful.

I've heard of stick on bras - does anyone know if they give lift?

Any advice much appreciated.

Why don't you try corset underwear? That's what I'm going for and the seamstress will sew smalle patches of velcro onto the inside of the dress and the corset so there will be no slipping.

I know you mentioned wonderbra before but i really recommend them. Not the bog standard wonderbra but the special strapless one. I can't remember the exact name of it, but (and I know how weird this sounds) its the one with hands.

As a 36DD It works for me, none of the normal pain of a strapless bra digging in around my chest and it doesn't over do the cleavage, I certainly didn't feel like i could rest my chin on my chest in it!?

Lol!? I've just researched it - it's got invisible 'polycarbonate hands'!! I'm fairly sure this isn't one of the ones I tried on. I've read review and they look fantastic.

I'm having a corset. Holds up boobs, holds stomach in & creates a great silhouette! Can't go wrong x

This is what I'm going for. Although I'm dreading going to find one. I'm a 34GG and I expect to be a 32 something close to the wedding, (probably still a GG,) and I know it's going to be a total nightmare to find one. I'm hoping my old faithful Bravissimo will come to my rescue!

Do you really need a bra? I'm a c cup and my dress holds me in and lifts me up. It's also strapless.

There's also a great Calvin Klein strapless, along with the Wonderbra one

Another vote for the wonder bra hands one. They really hold you up and in place. There's no way any bra can give me a cleavage lol

Yes indeed. However for anyone reading this now, thinking "that bra with hands sounds ace", Debenhams currently have £10 off, so £24 rather than £34 - I am just ordering mine! Hope that is helpful to someone ?

Thanks.. after reading through a ton of reviews, i've decided against, it seem they are great if you got some decent boobs, but apparently not great for tiny ones like mine lol

I bought the Wonderbra one. I bought it for £31 from House of Fraser but saw it's £26 at Debenhams online later.

i bought the Ivory lace one: http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Wonderbra+Ultimate+strapless+lace+bra/207460677,default,pd.html I t seemed the most bridal.

    I'm a 36 DD and it's fab, really supportive
