Bras without padding

SophieM, 28 March, 2009 at 19:28 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 26

Bought some new underwear today, including non-padded t-shirt bras. I haven't worn such a thing for years - it feels really strange. I keep prodding my boobs ?

Oh, and rather gratifyingly, my size has changed again and I am now a 30DD.

As you were....

I only have one bra with padding, a plunge multi-way, and it feels odd every time I wear it. They don't make many padded bras in my size, even though I've gone down 4 cups sizes in the last year!

I also bought some new bras today (without padding as I don't need them!) and was shocked that 4 bras cost me (or rahter my husband) £154!!!! How come something that is an essential part of the female wardrobe and comes with very little material cost so much!

I don't think I've ever worn one with padding guess you just get used to what you wear.

I bought a new bra today, I was wearing a very old and saggy 34E but now have a lovely 30G, the difference in my shape is amazing, they're not sagging on my tummy anymore?

WSS normally - although I have purchased one recently as it did actually look ok (for a change) and was about £5 cheaper than the non padded one!

I don't have any without padding; I only wear a bra to help it make it look like I've got boobs ?

I did go to into Debenhams today as I seriously need some new ones - mine move about with me. I don't know where to start really ☹️ I looked in New Look kids dept but I'm not sure what size I am.

On a practical front. they also fit into your undies draw better than padded brassieres.

A good point well made ?

I wore a 34D for years, and went down to 32DD last year, and now 30DD. My niece, who's far thinner than me but has bigger norks, wears a 34D - in SA it's far harder to get nice bras in sensible sizes than here. I can't wait to take her to Bravissimo when she comes to London. I think though that when you're younger it's easier to get away with wearing the wrong size bra.

Oooo sophie we are boob twinnies ? ?

i like being a 30DD. much more choice than the 30HH I was for three months post-birth ?. I've got a few nice bras from figleaves recently, the free returns means you can order a few styles and send back those that don't work.

Waaaah, I can't believe I'm the same size as you, I have arrived! But you're way thinner and glammer than me. ?️ (Thought the pizza icon would do as well as any other to express my admiration of the Foxy Fabulousness.)

I went to Rigby and Peller on Friday and got told I was a 32D, rather than a 34B. Wh odoesn't like being told they've gone down a back size and up a cup size (or two) ?

I find padded bras sit quite well in your undies drawer if you don't fold them, but just lay them on top of each other, sort of stacking the cups in to one another.

I recently bought the first padded bras I've ever owned, to see what they're like. Only very lightly padded, I don't need the extra help, they just always look so comfy. And they are! They feel all different and I keep feeling my tits surrepticiously ?

I tend to buy my bras from https://www.brastop.com/ (I'm a 30FF), they are much cheaper than Bravissimo because they do last seasons and things arrive next day as they only list stuff they have in stock. Always been really pleased with the service!

I saw the title and was about to say how it's sad and slightly pervy that I still remember your bra size.

However, I have taken note of your newly changed size, and will update my mental file on you accordingly.

I wouldn't worry, Sare. I believe Glider has compiled an Access database with full online search capability ?

Congratulations on your new bra size ??

I recently bought one non-padded bra in my new size and I agree it's very very wierd, having worn padded bras on my old teeny non-boobs for years not only was it strange for me to wear a non-padded but also to still have boobs in it!

The new norks look massive in padded bras though ?, it's fabulous!

I think I am becomming addicted to buying bras though using the excuse that I obviously am now buying from scratch, so I actually do really really NEED to buy them. Although to help me out somewhat the new size is not stocked everywhere which keeps my debit card in check a bit!

Where did you get your non-padded t-shirt one from?

    Nikki

    xx

Asbsolutely. I can't believe how addicted to buying good underwear I am these days, nor can I believe how picky I am about it or how much I spend.

I appear also to be the same size (although I am doubtful of being the same as you and FIS). I have one non padded bra, and whilst I like it, I find I get itchy nips (is also fairly embroidered) ?

To me (38DD) slightly padded bras are soooooooo comfy. I used to wear the non padded version thinking (probably rightly) that i had enough padding of my own ? but I find the slightly padded ones that M&S do are very comfy and provide a much nicer shaped until clothes than i would otherwise do. Now it would seem odd to wear a 'bare' bra to me!

I always wear a t-shirt bra, if I don't then it looks as though I am smuggling peanuts.

I always wore a 32D and then got measured after having the brat, I am now a 30F in a Freya (it was a G cup in other brands) and so I am rotating 2 bras as they were so expensive ? In my old size I had a drawer full!
