Bridal entrance song

Hoddy, 5 January, 2014 at 22:26 Posted on Planning 0 27

1. What do you all think to Edwina Hayes - feels like home as a bridal entrance song? I would cut it a bit but I'm worried people will be thinking of my sisters keeper!

2. Are you having separate songs for bridesmaids and yourself or same?

3. What are you having as your bridal entrance song?!

Lovely song. I wouldn't think of that film because I haven't seen it. Can't cope with that stuff ?

One song is usually played as the entrance is so quick!

The song sounds lovely, it's such a beautiful piece! Good choice...! ... Not sure about music for bridesmaids, and I'm walking in to to song we found on my dad's computer when sorting his stuff after he died. He wrote and played it on guitar and he called the file 'Carol likes it'... Carol is my mum. Will be handing out kleenex too!

Thanks. It was either that... Because it's been done a thousand times *sigh* or 'Siren Song'... Song for a Siren, can't remember name, by This Mortal Coil.

My OH knows, I didn't even tell him he just knew I'd pick it. It's Everlong (acoustic version) - Foo Fighters.

1 - It's a lovely song and I have seen the film but I don't recall it as being from it so it's not really linked in my mind.

2 - one song as its over so quick!

3 - I had Royal Philharmonic Orchestra playing Groovy Kind of Love

4 - Yes he knew, I played it over and over til I no longer cried when hearing it ?

I am 99% sure I am having this

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAk0hEVGgMY

(Not necessarily because its Battlestar Galactica, more so becase I wanted an orchestral piece with no lyrics and we both love ALL of Bear McCreary's work)

I'm planning on having my bridesmaids enter to the same song as the song goes for 1min52secs before when I want to enter ?. We enter through french doors from outside so I want my bridesmaids to enter then they close the doors, my dad and I stand on the other side of the door looking in and when it hits the crescendo at 1min52secs they open the french doors then I enter.

I'm having She's Always a Woman (by Billy Joel but Fyfe Dangerfield cover) and OH knows as I had to have it 'approved' because he's worried I'm going to turn it into a massive 90s pop cheesefest!

I really want Ellie Goulding - How long will I love you. Need to check the church will let me have it first and work out how long it will take the BMs to walk down the aisle before I walk in so I can time it right x

I'm not 100% decided but I think I'm choosing A Thousand Years by Christina Perri but the instrumental version.

Either that or I may go with Canon in D.

That's such a lovely song, I haven't seen the movie. We just had the one song, we had stereophonics the first time ever I saw your face but we had an acoustic duo singing it for us and my husband knew about it.

    1. I was at a wedding recently where that was the signing the register music and it was beautiful so go for it

    2. Think it will be the same

    3. Not set in stone yet but thinking it will be an instrumental version of the skye boat song which has a nice rhythm to walk along to and works with my Highland setting

    4. definately not secret (and yes I'm struggling with keeping the dress secret too)

The piano guys do a beautiful instrumental of Christina perry's 1000 years... I love it... im toying with that one, or kissing you by a dude called jesse.. I found him on youtube and it gives me goose bumps, although im not too sure the lyrics fit.. but every time I think I've decided on a song a new one I've found pops up.. too man to choose from.

really stupid question but do you start walking when the song starts or let it play for a while? its just its a 4 minute song and I think id feel a bit daft plodding down the isle slower than a snail.

    X
