Bridal hair accessories- advice needed

ExcitedEssexBrideToBe, 16 March, 2014 at 20:18 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hello,

My hair trial is in May and I know I want my hair up, what I'm unsure on is what accessory I should get.

I've got a cathedral length veil on a comb and all the hair accessories I seem to like are hair combs- would this be difficult having a hair comb in addition to a veil on a comb?

What are you planning / did you do for your wedding?

Thanks

I think hair combs look lovely without a veil or with a shorter veil that is placed at the base of the hair style. Not sure how it would work with a longer veil but I'm sure it can be done! Have you looked on pinterest or google images for ideas? I'm hoping to have a tiara, just got to find one!

I'd imagine it should be fine. Wonder if any hairdressers on here can help?

It really depends on where you are planning to place the comb and the veil and what sort of up do. If you had e.g a curly up do you could wear a comb on the side (see pic below - me on my wedding day!) and then it won't matter where the veil is placed, whether above or below the curls. If however, it's going to be a low sweeping style or more intricate with all the detail at the back then I think you'd need to wait to see where the hairdresser will put the veil. If you had a comb placed in here, it would mean, all the detail would be at the back - have you thought about a side tiara?
