Hi everyone! I'm having trouble deciding what jewellery i want to wear with my dress! I know it's trivial really but for some reason it's really stressing me out! Just wondering what everyone else was planning on wearing and if u have any piccies! Also if there are any HIB's around who make jewellery who could give me some inspiration! Thanks!!!! ?

Not sure how helpful this will be but didn't want to read and run!

I'm thinking of just wearing jewellery I bought for my 21st as I've only worn it that once and it looks fancy! I hope this photo comes up in the thread, this is what my jewellery looked like:

It was from Next and not very expensive- they have some absolutely gorgeous stuff and not very expensive!

    Hi moomin.

I'm a jewellery HIB and would be glad to help with ideas. IMO (biased? moi?!) a bride's jewellery is not trivial at all. The wrong necklace etc with a dress can really spoil the look.

I would be happy to advise on what would work with your dress and make some suggestions from my range or even design something bespoke for you. If you'd like me to have a look, please drop me a line on ****@***********.**.** with a piccie or link to your dress.

The website is www.louloubelle.co.uk if you'd like a nosey.

    Hi,

I am a jewellery hib and would be happy to chat to you about different styles and designs. Some dresses suit certain designs more than others so it would be great to see pictures of your dress to get a better idea of what to suggest. You could have something made out of Swarovski crystals if you wanted something sparkly or pearls for a classic timeless look or a mixture of both which is a really popular choice. Also if your dress is coloured then you might want to incorporate that into your jewellery.

Please feel free to drop me an email for some ideas and I'm happy to send out samples of crystals/pearls if you want to match up any colours. My email is ******@**************.**.** and my website is www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk.

    Hope that helps.

Moomin8804, why don't you post a pic of your dress and see what the HIBs come up with?

Thanks everyone, I'm off to look at HIB's websites now! Bluewater, that's a good idea but my dress is being made for me, so it's a one off design and it's not finished yet! I can describe it though

It's white, strapless, sweetheart neckline, full skirt with lots of ruching in the skirt (ruching is that even a word lol ?)

    Hi,

I don't make jewellery I sell it ready made so you can always try it with your dress and return it if it isn't suitable. I would suggest a drop like Eve on this page https://www.3djewellery.co.uk/index_files/pretty_diamonte_necklaces.htm or the Chatons drop necklace to compliment the sweetheart neckline

    Hi,

Here are a few of my designs that you might like and which would suit your sweetheart neckline. You are not limited to what is on my website as I also do bespoke designs.

This is by far my most popular design and looks absolutely stunning on. It can also be made with white pearls if you would prefer.

Both of the pendants were made for our very own hitcher brides.

Hope that helps with some inspiration.

    Thanks

Lynsey thanks for posting those pictures! I love the pearl ones but everyone keeps saying to me that pearls are old fashioned! Gah, what do they know! I'm going to show them these necklaces! ?

No probs. I've emailed you through your profile but I never know if the hitched email system works. I would have turned my nose up at pearls a few years ago but love them now and always feel really elegant with them on.

I often wear this piece to work because I have a top that is the same colour and I always get comments about how lovely it is. It uses Freshwater pearls and I do feel posh wearing it! This design also comes in white pearls.

Not very useful, but I had the chance to borrow a (quite) expensive diamond necklace froma jewellar that is friendly with my husband. It made me feel like a filmstar on the day!

Hi, lovely idea we used was to have Grandma's engagement ring (with solitaire diamond) set into a pendant, and groom bought matching earrings. Most good jewellers, especially long-standing local ones, have access to a working jeweller to make up designs. (Lister Horsfall in Halifax was excellent near us) Pearls always lovely too! Just choose to suit your dress decoration. xxx
