Bridal party entrance

Hi everyone!

i know there has been some similar posts lately about who goes first... Bride or bridesmaids? Well I would like some opinions on my situation. I am very close to both my dad and step dad and they have both played massive parts in my upbringing. I am having them both walk me down the aisle, one each side. For this reason I think my bridesmaids would be completely overshadowed/ blocked from view if we went with the traditional English bridal party entrance. But my worry is, if I send all bridesmaids in first who will fix my dress? i was a bridesmaid at a friends wedding and all her bridesmaids went first. She had to turn a corner to walk down the aisle and her dress folded over and she had no one to fix it!!

We are having a harpist and 4 bridesmaids. So my thoughts were to send 3 bridesmaids in first to one piece of music. Close the doors, get myself in position with my remaining bridesmaid (chief) to help with the dress. Then doors open and I would make my entrance to a different piece of music with my bridesmaid following on. She wouldn't mind doing this as she is quite shy and doesn't want all the attention on her anyway.

do you think it's rubbish? It sounds long winded but obviously it would only be a few seconds that the doors are shut.

Many advice would be great :-) xx

I sent my bridesmaids in first and as our ceremony was on a barge my dress got folded over etc but our venue coordinator sorted that out for me just before I started the walk.

This (apart from the barge!) My venue co-ordinator will be there to send us all down the aisle at the right point so she can fix my dress if I need it.

I say go with whatever works best for you, I can't imagine any of your guests will even notice who has gone when etc
