Bride Wars - any takers...?

Stupidgirl45, 31 December, 2008 at 14:50 Posted on Planning 0 27

Okay so I don't think I can inflict this film on my friends or BMs so I just wondered if any Hitchers who lived in London/SW London wanted to come with me to see it one night.

I can do Wimbledon/Wandsworth/Putney area. And of course Central london but don't really want too as that's MEGA 'spensive!!

Anyone???

Here is the film website if you have no idea what I'm on about...

Do you want to perhaps go on weds 14th? I think you said you had a parents evening that week so maybe the week after instead?

Laura - yes - but I hope you're around for are next meet up. I posted a thread a few days ago but I'll bounce it back up!

Well lets say the 21st then. We can sort out which showing nearer the time. Something around 7 or 8pm would be perfect

Saracroft - where abouts do you live?

How's the 21st for you? We can split the cost of the two tickets, or find someone else who's on Orange so we all go half price.

You text 'film' to 241 and they text you a code which you show to the person at the cinema when you buy your tickets. I guess she could do it and forward the message to your phone and they'd be no wiser... I don't know though, never tried to do that cos H and I are both on Orange.

Well, the 2 for 1 is only worth it if there's four of us anyway. If not, we'll get one normal price and one on the 2 for 1, then just split the cost of the two tickets three ways.

A trailer came on for this when we were watching 'Yes Man' in the cinema the other day, H2B just turned to me and shook his head! I might have to go on my own then ☹️

The thing is, it looks awful - but I really want to see it!

I'd like to join you guys in Wandsworth on the 21st. It's not too far from my office in Clapham North and I'm off home to Ireland the next day.

I have an Orange work phone (or at least, I will have once the one I lost on Christmas Day gets replaced) so can get the Orange 2 for 1 deal.

We went to a friends house for food and drink. They had a cool fire pit in the back garden and what seemed like a never ending supply of champagne and cava. Just before midnight, we went to the tiny park at the top of our hill and watched the fireworks going off all over London.

At about 3am, 13 people decamped to my flat as the pregnant hostess wasn't getting any sleep with all us drunken idiots. I was a bit worried our neighbours would complain about the noise, but in the end, one of them came and joined us! Very good night indeed, but I'm paying for it now!

    How was your New Year?
