There have been a large number of posts lately, on this and other websites, with brides asking if anyone has bought a dress from "suchandsuch".com from UK/China as they are attracted by the prices and are on a very tight budget.
Before you go down this route though ladies please do go and take a look at your local bridal shops as our new season stock is being delivered as we speak and many stores will have end of season sales on their current samples. Prices vary from store to store but at the moment it is entirely possible to get 50% or more off the RRP of a gown by a reputable designer.
Not only do you get a very personal service, you also get to try on the dresses before you buy them, know how they fit, check the condition and have the piece of mind that your dress is stored safely in a secure environment etc. You then have someone to go back to if you have a problem, need some advice or just want to have another look at your dress.
Any reputable bridal boutique will understand that you are on a budget and respect that. Dont be afraid to talk to them, you would be surprised how much of a bargain you could pick up without the nasty surprises of import duty, poor quality workmanship and incorrect sizing!
