Bride's speech

I was determined to do one as i am not the sort to let anyone speak on my behalf! and there were things i wanted to say but i then proceeded to blub several times and make a fool of myself? mind you no-one seemed to mind- they were probably used to the blubbing by that point seems i blubbed in church as well!

so if you are likely to be emotional i would give it a miss!

As far as everyone is concerned, it's expected that I do a speech! I talk in front of lots of people in my job and will find it easier than h2b to do. To be honest, I do want to say a few bits, mainly thank you to h2b's son for giving his permission for us to marry and for supporting us in our new life together. But I'm going to keep it very short. I'm not going to live up to expectation and talk for a while or take over/retract from h2b's speech as people who know us may expect. He's a bit disappointed about that as thought he could get away with doing the short one but I really want him to do it, and will be very interested to hear what he has to say! Sorry, even that turned into a ramble!! If you want to do one though, then do it, I wouldn't like to think that I may regret not saying anything at all. x

I really want to do a suprise speech but i'm so scared!

My H2B told me (in jest) that if I did one he would divorce me!!!

He really is not keen on bride's speeches, and to be honest I hate talking in front of people so wouldn't want to do it anyway!

But it is your wedding so if you want to then go ahead!!

I am going to do one at the eve do - when people are there.. Take the mic and thank everyone for coming etc. x

OH who speaks to customers all the time in high power meetings doesnt want to do a speech but will just get up and say something at the dinner
