Bridesmaid Advice

Lu13, 31 August, 2017 at 02:19 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi,

i am am getting married next year and am currently on the look out for bridesmaid dresses. As my colour scheme is quite specific (a heather colour), I don't think I'm going to be lucky enough to find something on the high street.

I'd ideally like to pay no more than approx. £170 per bridesmaid. Does anyone know of any brands that are around this price range? It's hard to know where to look when nobody advertises prices haha.

Thanks in advance and to all those looking, I was a bridesmaid last year and our dresssea were the multi-wrap ones from Debenhams. They were such good quality and so flattering as they were lined and a heavy fabric. If only they came in my colour!!

If you like the debenhams ones, could you buy a pale colour and dye it to the exact colour you like?

Davids Bridal dresses are around £130 each - its where I'm getting mine! Not sure what colours they do, up if you go online and look at the US website the dresses are the same, as are the colours :-)

Our bridesmaids will be wearing sky blue which seems really hard to get as well so we're going with David's Bridal. They have a good range of dresses and colours and they can make them in any combination that you like. If you sign up to their mailing list they send round coupon codes quite a lot too - there was one for 30% off a few weeks ago. ?

    Good luck!

Berketex have lots of colour options in store, they have swatches of the colours they can get. They are mostly in big Debenhams stores now as a concession.

Wed2b is another place you can get lots of bridesmaid dresses in different shades for between £80-£150ish!

    Hi Lu

You should try two birds bridesmaid dresses - they do the original wrap dresses in a mix of different fabrics and you can choose from lots of colours. This one is £130 and they do it in a dusty heather colour: https://twobirdsbridesmaid.com/collection/classic/ballgown/?colour=heather&wrap=grecian-twist-backless

    hope that helps!

    Hi,

I am also struggling a little bit with bridesmaid dresses! I have two junior bridesmaids (aged 9&10) and it is proving to be very difficult to get dresses for them to match my two adult bridesmaids.

A few posts mentioned David's Bridal - does anyone have any experience with them? I am worried about returns in particular in the event that the dresses don't fit!

I'd appreciate any advice or any recommendations on other places I might be able to get hold of both adult and junior dresses.

    Thanks!
