Bridesmaid Boquets

10 September, 2012 at 14:23 Posted on Planning 0 19

Hi,

Would anyone mind flashing me their BM boquet and sharing how much they cost?

I've budgeted £30 for their boquets each, is that reasonable enough?

Thanks

I'm having silk flowers so they are cheaper. It depends on what you are looking for. I think the rule of thumb is if you pick something in season it will be cheaper but if you wanted say peonies outside of summer (when they are in season) they can cost up to 3 times as much!

Speak to a florist as to what flowers would be in season when you are getting married and if you don't like them how much it would cost to get an out of season flower

I've been quoted £35 for mine, including roses, and a mix of other cheaper flowers. Don't have a flash yet sadly.

FOR FRESH FLOWERS It all depends on what flowers, the season and the design of the bouquets. If you are getting married in February, any where near mothers day or christmas then expect them to be expensive due to the flowers being expensive during these times.

But i would say budget between £30 to £50 all depending again on the above.

FOR ARTIFICIAL FLOWERS. i would say as little as £25 for a small rose posy depending upon the age of the bridesmaids.

    Hope this helps

you need anymore info don't hesitate to get in touch i am always happy to help

Mine were foam and I made them myself so total cost per bouquet was about £6 each. They were ivory roses with grass (ignore the middle bouquet in the shot - that's my one!)

Thanks! I just bought some foam roses, bunched them together so they formed an even circle, used twisty-ties to hold the stems together, then wrapped a thin layer of foam lining around the stems then wrapped floristry tape around it, then took the grass reeds and curled them over the roses, securing each end to the stems. Then wrapped the whole "handle" in ribbon, using pins to secure in place.

I'm having bouquets of dried lavender which I am making myself. Together with all the bits and bobs they should cost me no more than £10 each.

I'm only 5ft myself so I think I'm going to have a bridesmaid size bouquet rather than anything massive so I think my bridesmaids are going to have corsages on their wrists. Means they'll actually have the flowers with them most of the day that way too!

Depending on the flowers you require whether fresh/artificial £30 should be plenty provided the flowers are in season, as an indication our bouquets are around £23 each. If you would like any help with flower choices let me know x
