Bridesmaid dress budget

MissTtoMrsB, 30 June, 2011 at 17:07 Posted on Planning 0 14

Ive got a budget of around £80 a dress for my 4 adult bridesmaids.. Is there any 'proper' bridesmaids dresses with that sort of price or would i be better off looking at high street dresses?

What about wedding fairs? any chance of getting cheaper bridesmaids dresses there?

TIA

    Hi,

I haven't started lookg for my BM dresses yet, but I am being a BM for my soon to be SIL, there are some gorgeus ones on the high street and a lot are on sale at the min. Plus depending one the sizes of your BM's they do several different styles of the same colour. I am really tall so knew she's struggle to get a dress to fit me, but as the MOH I'm having a different dress same colour.

Have you bought your wedding dress? Some shops might be able to knock some off if they are kitting out you and all four BMs...worth a try!

From my experience, you will probably something for this price on the high street. I have looked at BM dresses from dessy and places like that and some are around £200! Debenhams and BHS do nice dresses for £70-100 though ?

The sale in coast is really good at the moment - lots of potential BM dresses. I just wish I was at the buying stage as I hate to miss out on a bargain!

    Good luck!

Hight Street all the way. You could get a beautiful dress from Warehouse, Zara, Oasis etc for that price plus it would probably be far nicer than 'proper' bridesmaid dresses (£160 for a strapless satin gown that you see at every other wedding, eugh no thank you!)

Hi. I am getting mine made by a seamstress. I found a pic I liked for her to work from. They are costing £75 each plus the cost of the fabric.
