Bridesmaid dress budget

Mrs*M, 11 February, 2013 at 14:22 Posted on Planning 0 11

I'm going shopping with my Bridesmaids on Saturday so I'm trying to set myself a budget for this but I'm completely clueless, I'm doing some high street shopping which is fine as I can check prices online but I'm also going to bridal shops and I've no idea what they charge.

Would those of you who bought bm dresses from a bridal shop mind sharing how much you spent on them?

Thanks!

Depending on where you look in the high street they can vary from £50 (for a normal dress, not bridesmaid specific) up to £200 (for bridesmaids dresses in Debenhams for example)

I managed to get mine for £60 each in the Debenhams sale.

I bridal shops I found to be from £150+ but you do get to choose the style and colour you want.

Thanks! I will buy that magazine as I'm going to phase eight so that will be great, I'm also going to coast, Debenhams, and John Lewis have I missed any obvious ones out?

My budget was between £40-£60 for all three dresses. In the end I bought the three from Monsoon for £40.00 each. Although worth trying department stores as well as individual shops too ?

    Hi

I know wedding dress shops are about £150 upwards for bridesmaid dresses & you have to order them way in advance too (about 12-16 weeks) I have found bridesmaid dresses in bridal boutiques that are exactly what we all like however with a £200 price tag ive said no.

I have 3 bridesmaid dresses to pay for & have said £100 each is the most I can spend

Im looking online & at hughstreet shops now but not having much luck

We've budgeted £150 max for each BM for their outfit and accessories. Got their dresses at the weekend from Topshop £55 each. I'm really happy with them. Smiley smile

Thanks everyone, I was talking to OH yesterday and we said ideally we wouldn't want to spend more than £150 each for dresses, I'm worried about going into a bridal shop and everything being over budget especially if there is something there we love and I'd have to say no.

I found the two dresses I required at House of Fraser, was £160 reduced to £64. Bargain and my daughters look great. I'm going to do a mega flash one day!
